So the other night I had the opportunity to have a girl's night
with some family members. A cousin began talking to me about all the many things I do, how do I do it, etc. I said I am so
busy far too often, and that has been my experience. I told them
I was now having a Farewell to Busyness. Now I say things like,
I am experiencing having plenty of time to do the things I enjoy.
I am experiencing life being calm and peaceful.
I move gracefully from one experience to another, with plenty of
time to reflect.
My cousin looked at me and said, "So you aren't going to drop
anything out--just have a better attitude?"
I said, "Well, actually, yes, in a way, but my perception will
actually change the experiences that come to me. I won't be
nearly as busy."
Her eyes got kind of big at this point, and she began to chuckle.
"Kind of like 'Mind over Matter' huh?" and snickered as she
said it. I had to laugh, too. But I laughed for a different
reason--for joy that I knew the secret. For joy that I knew,
Yes, all I need to do was change my thoughts and it WOULD change
Sometimes our brains have to really STRETCH to fit around this
concept. If these ideas just make you snicker as well, just
give it time. Just let them cook a bit in your mind--but don't
reject them. If you sincerely desire to know the truth
about our thoughts--ask, ask to be shown. The truth will show up
I'm so glad for my sweet cousin and her happy snickering--and for
the amazing secrets I've been so blessed to know and share.
Every one learns at their own rate and as they are ready for it. I
respect others in their journey, and thrill in my own.
Happy brain stretching today! =)
