Which editor are we supposed to reach out to for feedback? Kristi appears to no longer be active.

Hi all -

It looks to me like Kristi is no longer active (you cannot message her and her profile is now a bunch of letters and numbers), and I saw in one of the discussion threads that Kathy is no longer with OMTimes?

If that is the case, who do we submit our articles to for feedback and review? I really would prefer not to add to someone's workload by contacting the wrong person.

Thank you so much!

Tara :)

I m here.  What is your question?

Hi, Tara.  When you post an article, it will be  reviewed by me (Spirituality editor) or Regina Chouza (Metaphysics editor).  We usually respond to posts that we recommend for publishing, sometimes with requests for very specific changes or additions (like the abstract or author bio).  When a post received no response, it could be because it was not an appropriate topic for the magazine, was more of an advertisement than an informative article, used the first person point of view to narrate the writer' experience, was too long (guidelines now ask for 500-fewer than 800 words).  Sometimes it takes the editors a while to get back to writers (hurricane in Florida and earthquake in Mexico, for example).  On occasion, if you want specific feedback, we will oblige.  Just send a request.  I hope this clarifies things. Thank you for asking.

Hi Lisa!
Thank you for clarifying! I've had good feedback on both articles I've submitted, so that's great! One has already been featured on the site and the other got feedback from Kristi that it was good to go for publishing. I was just concerned because Kristi was here, and then gone, and I guess Kathy isn't with OMTimes anymore (not sure if that is right or not), so I didn't want to do something in error in the submission process.

I really appreciate you taking the time to clarify everything.

By the way, is there any way to get the article that's posted on the OMTimes site reformatted? For some reason, the abstract isn't italicized, so it looks like the first two paragraphs are redundant. I received great feedback on the article from sharing it on Facebook and other social media channels, but put a caveat on it to start reading from the third paragraph.  It's this article: https://omtimes.com/2017/10/4-ways-forgive/

Thanks so much for your help!

Have a great day -

Thanks for reaching out! I didn't see your response until tonight. Lisa was kind enough to clarify things for me! I appreciate it. Have a great night!
