One of my favorite things to do is keep an eye on how we (the inclusive we, of course) write today. Liane and I had a conversation just yesterday about how so many things are changing. It is important to write about current topics, sure...but how much of what we "slave over" (just kidding, these are "offerings") is actually sinking into other peoples' brains? How much time do readers spend with our work? Consider this article:
When it comes to our articles on OMTimes, we do seek to engage our audience, and our audience loves us back. We enjoy being on the cutting edge of consciousness...so keep some of these engagement ideas in mind as you write. We are seeing a greater interest overall in other methods of communicating, not just text. Some people find them more accessible and preferred. So, for those of us who either record, or do video messages, OMTimes does have the multimedia capabilities to keep "readers" (our audience) more involved, which is great!
The idea in the attached article, is to try to avoid presenting a very lengthy article at first glance. We have ways of linking to audio, video, and even longer-form presentations if people choose to get the full experience. OMTimes already does curate much of what our writers provide, but in this mobile age, our focus itself is at a shifting point. Let's move forward together in an increasingly positive way without, as one may imply, overextending our welcome. Stay tuned, for even more evolution is in store!
As always, looking forward to working with your words! Happy Halloween, everybody! ~ Blessings!
