Have the guidelines for omtimes in regards to posting on blogs changed?

Can I still post articles submitted to omtimes on my personal blog? I usually wait to post on my blog until after the article appears on omtimes, but when I did not hear back about a submission for five days I went ahead and posted it on my blog.  Does that mean omtimes can no longer consider it for publication?

thanks so much

Hi, Sherie - Writers have in the past been able to provide writing to OMTimes and their personal blog and this has not changed. However, with the Internet being the way it is, once something is out in cyberspace, it is fair game for anyone else who may forward or curate your work. This means by the time OMTimes publishes it, it may be a month or more down the road and it does affect search ranking.

We have been asking writers to give us at least through the month to provide notice--30 days as opposed to five. If something is particularly time-sensitive (such as a forecast) then we would seek to move up approval, but most writers who send in forecasts let us know. We have three editors in the community throughout the month selecting articles, so it may not take a full month to hear back, but it could be more than five, for sure. Thanks ~ Blessings!

Kathy, thanks for providing this information. I'm still learning the ins and outs of the Writer's Community, so every little bit helps.

Best,

Maryjane

Thank you Kathy I appreciate your response.
