Dale Pearson Biography
Dale Pearson is a resident of Calgary, has membership with the Alexandra Writing Centre Society, “The Boardwalk Writer’s”, and “WOW”, a prose writing group.
Her poetry and newspaper articles have been published in Edmonton, Ottawa and Calgary, the most recent being her article “Good Stuff,” a spoof on garage sales, which was published in the Calgary Herald, June, 2003 and her poem “Dandelion Harvest” which was published in the July –August issue of the Country Register.
She writes a column for her Beta Sigma Phi chapter, which is submitted, to the Area Council newsletter, “The Flame”.
In addition, she has had numerous articles published in the Alexandra Writing Centre Society newsletter.
Her article, “Our Christmas Tradition”, won best article for the Ottawa South newspaper OSCAR, in 1995. Her short story, The Saint, The Angel, and the Grotto, was published in a book of short stories entitled, “Heartbeat Angel”. Her poem, “Vanished” won a third place in the 1997 National Library of Poetry contest and also won an Editor’s Choice award. It was published in the “Glow Within” Anthology.
Dale’s writing inspiration comes from her experiences with adversity and her love of the human spirit.
