Spiritual Means living Boldly with an Open Heart
We see a lot of metaphysical friends posting on social media uplifting advice about staying positive and focusing only on "good' during these trying Covid-19 times. They're inspired by the "law of attraction". Let's call it for what it is, selective focusing.
Selective focusing is a wonderful mental discipline. But not when it is dualistic (judging good or bad), innately self-serving (striving for a…

Hi Jack,
My name is Regina, I'm one of the editors at OM Times Magazine. Welcome!
Please enable comments on your articles so that we can give you feedback. Otherwise it will be hard to publish them =)
Here is a summary of our guidelines:
- Content: Original, in other words, it hasn't been posted in other magazines or in blogs. We do not publish channeled materials, our writers present their own ideas! Please begin with a 80 word ABSTRACT that summarizes the themes covered (a teaser of sorts).
- Tone of Voice: Professional tone of voice, using "we" rather than "I" to make the articles inclusive, and to avoid sounding like a blog post. Please avoid 2nd person as well, to keep from sounding preachy (as in, "you might be doing this wrong...)
- Self-Promotion: Include an Author Bio with links to your profile and any promotional material (up to 60 words). Self-promotion is only permitted here - if links are embedded or included in the body of the article, they will be deleted.
- Title: Reflective of the general theme (up to 60 characters)
- Length: 500 - 800 words
Please let me know if you have any questions, and feel free to resubmit the article that is pending review as it doesn't quite fit these guidelines. I would also suggest looking at some of the pieces that have been published on www.omtimes.com to familiarise yourself with our style.
Thank you!
Regina
