Creating Success: Resolutions and Goal Setting for the Highly Sensitive Person

When my husband shared his article with me I immediately said, "This isn't just for the HSP, it's for everyone! It should be called 'How To Eat An Elephant'." When we are in crisis or feeling the pressure of making valid and lasting decisions, critical thinking can often fly out a window -- I felt this was good enough to share with a larger audience. Enjoy! -----------------------------------------------------------------  Among the challenges of being a Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) is the…See More

Practicing Self-Compassion

Nearly ten days ago I discovered the Project Seventh website. The moment was monumental for me because I’d been trying to decide the best way to blog my day to day experiences as a professional clairvoyant/metaphysician and the creator of Cosmic Triage™.  For years I’d written about my world in several blogging venues; then decided to give myself a chance with writing my blend of spiritual consciousness at TruJournal.  That attempt…See More

Profile Information

Please provide a brief Author Bio ( 60 to 100 words maximum, please. )
Orphaned before she was born, Sydney Nash's favorite book as a child was "Are You My Mother?" Even at the tender age of five, she could argue with any adult that the author of this book wasn't Dr. Seuss, and so her editorial skills were finely honed; which is why she was the production editor and co-founder of The Hiss Quarterly; currently she spends time at The View From Here moonlighting as the poetry editor.
Ms. Nash has managed to publish short stories, articles, commentary and poetry all over the place. Someday she will finish writing many of the books she's started; and will submit most - - if not all - - of the poetry she has scribbled on the backs of envelopes and deposit slips.
When she's not editing, she's the Cosmic Hooker; your favorite professional psychic and medium in the Pacific Northwest.

Understanding the Highly Sensitive Person

Posted on August 16, 2011 at 12:37am 2 Comments

The following article was written by my husband who is a well respected individual within the HSP Community on and off the internet.  I work almost exclusively with HSP's because I understand them, and I speak their "language" -- I am HSP.

“I am a Highly Sensitive Person.”

Today, I can publicly make such a statement and not feel embarrassed or brace for an onslaught of eye rolling or snide comments from the people around me. However, it wasn’t always…

The Labyrinth Revealed

"We have not even to risk the adventure alone, for the heroes of all time have gone before us — the labyrinth is thoroughly known. We have only to follow the thread of the hero path, and where we had thought to find an abomination, we shall find a god; where… Continue
