Outgrow

A poetic island in a musical stream... entitled « Outgrow » :

That which you can't abide

Embrace as if a friend

Once you two have allied

No thing will make you bend

That which you can't escape

Welcome as a teacher

You will never espouse

More talented lover

That which you won't challenge

Can't ever make you wise

But that which you surpass

In freedom makes you rise

That which you merely… Continue

Reflection…2010

It is hard to believe that another year is almost coming to a close! Normally we wait until the New Year to take a few moments to look back and see where we

have come from and decide the direction we will take for the upcoming year. Why wait? Before you get all caught up in

the holiday hustle and bustle take a few moments to begin the process of

reflection, closure and set the…

You Matter

Let me share one of my recent experiences during a camping trip. We were hiking on a six mile trail and we took a wrong turn down a canyon with sharp inclines. At the bottom of the canyon, we had to find a way back out to the top. During the process, on several occasions I was stuck on rocks where a slight wrong move would have tumbled me down onto the rocks below with possible injuries. Several times my friend reached his hand out and pulled me up. For him, this act was…

It's more than a "kodak" moment! It's LIFE! II

BEing FULL of Thanks IV

It's more than a "kodak" moment! It's LIFE!

“Don't be discouraged by a failure. It can be a positive experience. Failure is, in a sense, the highway to success, inasmuch as every discovery of what is false leads us to seek earnestly after what is true, and every fresh experience points out… Continue

Pondering Thanksgiving 2010

Gratitude, latitude and the passing of time in this material Universe. Now, the holiday over and the bones of the turkey boiled for soup stock, I have a few minutes to reflect on holidays past, those who have transitioned on and what life means in terms of the person I have become. Memories...

This was the second…

What Greater Gift

I recently taught the fourth class in my animal communication program. Although I enjoy teaching all of the classes this one is very special to me as we study wild animals, and the plant and nature spirit kingdoms. Communicating with a wild animal is different and more challenging than someone’s pet. For instance they may not have a name or be comfortable with a mind to mind and spirit to spirit connection. Often we need to ask an animal’s diva or body elemental for help with communicating.… Continue

Expand Your Consciousness with Meditation

I am pleased to have Brian Culkin B.A. as a contributor for this article.

If one were to describe the makeup of the universe in one word, the most apparent word would be MOTION. The word we use to describe the motion of objects through space is ENERGY. All objects are made up of both as you’ll recall learning in high school physics that what we perceive in life to be solid is actually not motionless; in fact that table, the chair you sit on,… Continue

Outraged at Airport Security Searches? Tips to Cope with Personal Space Intruders

If you want to see people flip their lids fast, try invading their personal space. These intrusions cause our stress hormones to skyrocket and can affect our physical and mental health. Blood pressure, heart rate, and muscle tension are all affected. Thus, the public outrage at new intrusive security pat downs of passengers in airports.

What is personal space? In "Emotional Freedom" I emphasize its main aspects. First, it's the invisible border that surrounds us and sets our comfort… Continue
