I have come to realize how we feel, our emotional state at any given moment is not what makes us. Our character is solid and is who and what makes us unique. Emotions and our feelings are but leafs on the ocean. Most important in all is the cultivating of a calm mind. Love together with insight into the true nature of reality and our own existence is key to true happiness and compassion.

OM! We are all interconnected and dependent on each other, everything is dependent on another for it to be, there is no island, nothing exists independently on it's own. The nature of our existence is we are social animals, we need the compassion of a mother as soon as we are born, not knowing who we are or even whose arms we are resting and yet there is a bond an affection between mother and baby. This is a lesson of life to be learned. If i break my arm or if i cut my finger or bang my toe… Continue

There is a place found within where there is no ego, no self, just plain harmony. Why do we kill the thing we love? Allow yourself to be free and spread your wings to fly, to soar in the air high above the troubling world which battles us everyday. I have reached a place within my own meditation where all those things in this life that get me down are minuscule in comparison to the oneness found all around us.
This is not as easy as just saying do this or go there. This which i…

Texting, chatting, sharing ideas and thoughts online etc lacks the personal touch and affection we all seek. Just one word can be taken wrong way or right way depending on the persons state of mind who is reading it. Hearing a persons voice and seeing their face and body language is the way we are meant to communicate. We are social animals who need the personal touch in our lives.
This raises a very important point regarding mind. So many destructive emotions which bind us in… Continue

I sat under a tree for shade in the hot sun at noon day when i was greeted by a monk walking to temple, Hello i said and he waved to me with a beautiful smile and continued on his way. I thought to myself what a kind man with a genuine smile and pleasant spirit, i arose and thought to myself i shall also go to the temple and maybe i can be happy as this monk was. Walking into the temple i was greeted by chants and prostrations and incense filled the air. So calm was the spirit in this holy… Continue

The earth collapses into water, water collapses into fire, fire collapses into air, air dissolves into consciousness. - Tibetan Book of the Dead Continue
I am a monk, I seek peace and harmony among all peoples. I pray in temple as the cold chilling presence of a armed soldier stands over me, waiting for me to mutter the names of banned holy people.
Holy writings, monasteries and nomads of the Himalayas living simple lives in the alter of the world. Living is a abstract term.…

A man once sat amongst the buffalo in the wild. The beast would allow the man to sit on it, to rest from his weariness. The man had a burden that weighed heavily on his heart. One day as he sat, the man sensed a rustling around him like a mild wind blowing around him. The Buffalo as it lay on the ground, took no notice of the softly shifting breeze. A shadow and softness caressed the man’s face, closing his eyes. Across his chest, slowing his heart. Down his arms, making them ever so heavy. It… Continue
