When things are going our way it can be very easy to truly believe and see where our thoughts create our reality. Our willingness to see all the opportunities through the people and events that come into our lives reinforce our understanding the Universe is providing these daily synchronicities. But what about those times when we set out to manifest but somehow it never seems to happen?
When the Dream Becomes a Nightmare
How often have we felt…
Have you ever seemed in have gotten so tied up in the rushing around in your day to day life that you begin to feel lost? Not a physical feeling of being in the wrong place, although that does happen, but rather an emotional draining of your energy and a spiritual disconnection. You are busy yet inwardly seeking something, anything that is truly important to you; not your family, not your job, your past or appointments or schedules. One day you may seem to have it altogether and even sigh…Continue

For about a week prior to this moment I have felt deep within my forehead the pulsating and spinning of my Third Eye Chakra. My Crown Chakra makes a soft humming sound like a rotating fan within the top of my head as I meditate. I can feel my intuition becoming more alert, my hearing and sense of smell more acute. The smoke from my smudge pot circles the sacred space I have prepared and I can feel the energy of those who are to come, both the students of today and the spirits of yesterday…Continue

Throughout our lives we are made aware of five of our senses since our physical body is greatly affected by their use, any illness that affects them or sometimes from their absence. However, when we mention our sixth sense, many people either don't want to talk about it, state they don't…Continue
Throughout our lives, and perhaps at this very moment, there comes a time when we feel as though we have awakened to the world around us. Most often this awakening is brought on by some drama or trauma in our lives which has forced us to come face to face with the reality of a situation. It might be our own physical or emotional health, the well being of someone in our care, our finances, job, relationships, grieving or spiritual growth. It may even be with the everyday routines we have gone…Continue

Let us for this moment imagine that we have really taken control and slowed our thoughts and actions down through our meditations and are now actually listening to the answers that we are intuitively receiving. The time has now come when we feel we know what it is we should do. The next question is how do we go about it? Looking…Continue

In a world where everything from the gadgets we use in our daily life to the ideas about life itself seem to change and evolve each day, we may find it difficult to even keep up with the vocabulary that comes from all these changes. Have you ever been talking to someone and they mention a new item on the market and you find you…Continue
No matter who we are, where we live, what we do for a living, how much money we have or how old we are, there are going to be times in our lives when we come face to face with the Dark Parana in the guise of grief. It can easily go un-noticed at first because grief wears many cloaks to conceal its identity. Our first mistake is…Continue

Whether you are new to meditation, getting back at it or practice it daily, one thing that is always a great learning tool is grounding. Regardless of the type of meditation you are doing – mantras, guided, drumming etc.- you will always go deeper and feel more centred when you perform a grounding technique at the beginning of your meditation. If you do any form of energy work you will find grounding a valuable tool to use with it as well. Any time you can bring your focus inward you are…Continue

When my kids were going to school, taking part on a team, competing in anything, learning to play the piano or attempting to earn a scout or brownie badge I always told them to give it their all and that was all that mattered. I wanted my children to discover the best in themselves, to not do things in a half hearted manner but to really do their best. Did they? Well, that remains open for discussion but looking back I do believe they did what they considered to be their best at that moment…Continue
Dare I attempt to name you then place that name forever in my writings?
Need it be on paper for myself and others to know you?
I feel your love flow through my veins and onto the paper on which I write.
It is as though your hand guides mine and your love is the ink that creates you on the page. There are no words known to me that describe this oneness I feel,
no colours vibrant enough to paint you or sound pure enough to be your voice.
Yet, when I sit…Continue
When you look outside right now and see all the snow and feel the bitter cold you may find it hard to believe that the Spring Equinox is only a few days away! But come it will, like it does every year at this time. For centuries, people all around the world have celebrated this time when both sides of the world have approximately equal…Continue
Soon another season will quickly come to a close and another will begin. As in our travel through life, one situation ends and another begins. We need to have a death before a rebirth can occur. It is usually necessary for us to shed something from our past, no matter how secure it feels in order to move ahead. This is not always easy and is different for everyone as we are all on different parts of our journey. No one can fully understand how another truly feels or how difficult a certain…Continue
In a world of 7 billion plus people, it is very difficult to be completely alone. Then when we are, there is always the tv, computer, cell phones etc that keep us in constant communication with the outside world whether we want it or not. Aside from going to a lone mountain top or getting dropped…Continue

In a show of respect we honor each of the seven elements for their place in creation. The first six, the rising sun, our ancestors, the setting sun, our personal journey, Father Sky and Mother Earth all bring us things we can see and touch in this world. The last element that we honor is Spirit. We hold Spirit in highest regard by acknowledging that it…Continue

One of most beneficial things that can happen when we join together to meditate or to participate in healing and spiritual work, is the discussions that arise. When in a place with people we regard as being non-judgmental and the space sacred, we often find we speak more freely about our inner desires, fears and aspirations. It is in these moments that we also discover we are not alone on a particular journey…Continue

The air carries a chill and freshness, the sounds of geese getting ready to take their southern flight is heard throughout the day and the night closes in earlier. Travel a country road and you may be honoured to smell the sweetness of ripening apples and plums, see the last of the corn stalks drying in the fields and roadside stands…Continue
