Boosting your immune system through a variety of ways is essential to living a healthy lifestyle. Exercising, meditating, taking your daily vitamins and even using essential oils are just a few natural ways to boost that immune system. Presented in the following article are just a few ways that are simple to help you increase energy and decrease the likelihood of health issues appearing.

Many health issues people experience can be prevented through diet and lifestyle. Stressors, daily activities, interactions and such all have an impact on your immune system. Here, we take a look at five ways of boosting your immune system in order to decrease your chance of illness.

Probiotics

One of the ways you can stay healthy is keeping your gut in tip-top shape, and this is where probiotics come in. A study conducted on mice concluded that specific microbiota in the gut was necessary to boost their immune system. A related study also found that certain types of probiotics were able to aid gastrointestinal and respiratory tract issues in athletes. Therefore, one way to keep your immune system healthy is to take probiotics. You can find them in fermented drinks like yoghurt or in pill form.

Echinacea

Many constituents of Echinacea are helpful to boost the immune system. They have very important therapeutic benefits. Research has shown that one of the most crucial benefits of Echinacea is on health issues. A 2012 research report showed that Echinacea had a positive impact on recurrent issues and preventive benefits especially when used to help when not feeling well.

Ginger

Ginger helps break down toxins in your organs because of its warming effects. It is also good for cleansing the lymphatic system-a network of organs and tissues involved with ridding the body of waste, toxins, and unnecessary materials. Research has shown that ginger is helpful for healthy digestion.

Tea Tree Oil

Also known as Melaleuca essential oil, tea tree oil has more than 92 different compounds. It is popular for its cleansing properties. Tea tree oil can be diluted with doTERRA oils to prevent sensitivity and for a variety of health benefits. Some of the common uses of tea tree oil include reducing appearance of blemishes.

Exercise

Physical activity has been known to help clear the airways and lungs. Exercising also changes your white blood cells and antibodies and reduces stress hormones. Lower stress hormones protect you against health issues. According to MedlinePlus, exercise helps decrease your chances of heart disease and keeps your bones healthy and strong. It might not make you immune to all illnesses but exercise can help flush out unwanted bacteria and slows down the release of stress hormones, which may protect against certain illnesses.

Hi, Harper.  Thank you for the submission.  OmTimes does have certain requirements that you might not be aware of.  Every article needs an abstract, a very brief summary of the contents, and at the end we need a brief author's bio.  This article is a good start but I suggest adding more information, such as signs that the immune system needs a boost, particular examples of exercises that will strengthen the system, and more specific applications of particular oils and herbs.  Please feel free to ask me any questions before you revise.
