Be Calmer with these Four Simple Tips

If you're like everyone else right now, you're cooped up in a house with limited things to do. You're probably sitting around more than you would normally, eating more than you would normally and getting down right cranky about it!  Your gym, yoga studio, pool have all been closed and your sanity workout is off limits at a time when you need it most! What to do? Well, first, let's establish that we are all energy beings living in an energy world.  As energy beings we can absorb other energy as well as create energy to send off into the Universe.  With all of us getting rather cranky, we are creating and sending out lots of cranky energy for everyone to receive and enjoy.  Imagine all of that toxic energy now filling your home with no where to go.  Somethings gotta give! One of the reasons that exercise, in particular yoga, is so beneficial is that it releases toxic energy held trapped within our bodies.  Stretches, dancing, yoga, even jumping all help to get our bodies moving and the stale energy out. With all this sitting around, there is lots of toxic energy that is building and building within our systems.  Let's imagine a garbage can.  You can only fill it so much until it has to be emptied, right?  Your energy system is like that garbage can! It has to be emptied every once in a while to get rid of toxic, stagnant energy. When your energy field is cleared, you think clearer, sleep better and generally have a more positive attitude. So let's clear our energy! First, let's help our houses out by getting rid of stale energy. The easiest way to do this, and most cost effective, is simply by opening the windows and letting fresh air come in. That's right!  It's that easy! Tip 1: Use the power of fresh air to clear out stale energy. You will feel so much better just with this one simple step. Once your home's energy is moving and clear, let's turn to you. If you haven't guessed it already, getting rid of stagnant energy has a lot to do with movement. Sitting around on the same space on the couch will certainly do nothing to clearing old energy. So get off the couch and try this. Tip 2: Jump up and down for 5 minutes. That's right!  Jump up and down several times. You can even wave your arms around for added measure. Get the kids involved and have an amazingly silly jumping party.  You can put on some music, sing, and just jump like there's no tomorrow. Jumping will help to clear your energy field and get things moving again. Just remember that it has to be more than one jump. Really put some feeling into it. Let's say, though that, you're really struggling with the day and just not in the mood for jumping. Many times we internalize our emotions, which leads to trapped energy.  A good way to get this emotion and, thusly, energy out is to yell at the top of your lungs. Tip 3: YELL, SCREAM, LION's ROAR.  Make some noise!  Vocalizing in this matter really gets that energy moving and out.  You'll feel better straight away! Have other people near by and can't yell loudly? Get a pillow or even your hand and scream into either of them. Same effect, just not as loud. If you really want to move some stuck energy and get some exercise in the process, then put on some music and DANCE. Tip 4:  Dance like there's no tomorrow! Forget about the world for a moment, grab your kids and partner, and just dance.  Dancing is not only a great exercise, but it gets you going body, mind and spirit.  Sing and dance to your favorite song and remember to have fun in the process. Laughing is one of the best ways to release toxic energy and raise your vibration and have some fun in the process. See, who needs a gym?
