Chyavanprash is a mixture of herbs from India that has many health benefits... and it tastes great!
History - Chyavanprash started out from the great story of Chyawan who lived over 12,000 years ago and was in very poor health. So he ask for help from Ashwini Kumars who came to him as twin brothers who were Ayurvedic Doctors who gave him the recipe for Chyavanprash. He gathered herbs and made the recipe and was reported to live a very long and healthy life... some scholars say he lived to be over 1,000 years old.
Contains - Chyavanprash has a main ingredient of Amalai or Indian Gooseberry which is very high in vitamin C, and depending on the maker Chyavanprash contains up to 30 different herbs... and it also contains honey, sugar, sometimes ghee, sesame oil, cinnamon, cardamom, and other spices that are great tasting.
Sweet Taste - Chyavanprash is very sweet tasting jam that tastes great on toast, and it’s wonderful for those who are not feeling well and need a pick-me-up.
Powerful Antioxidant - With 30 times the amount of Vitamin C found in oranges Chyavanprash is a very powerful antioxidant.
