Eagle Wisdom: Take Charge of your Life and Live your Dream

As you move through life, you invariably encounter both joyful moments as well as challenges and great losses. Especially during the dark times, you can sometimes feel alone and powerless, but in my experience, you are never really alone. In fact, if you approach life with an open mind and heart, you can experience how unconditional love, support, healing, and guidance is available to you at all times, not only from humans, both also from the animal world and from spirit.

The wisdom of animals and spirit can be accessed in many ways. You can learn much about animals by simply watching them in their natural environment and studying their behavior and habits.

There are also other ways to connect with and learn from animals and from spirit. One method I use is to connect with animals or with spirit through a Sacred Spirit Journey.

A Sacred Spirit Journey is a form of shamanic journey I developed which enables me to communicate with and capture the actual words of the animals and spirit guides encountered in my journeys.

In this article you will hear a message from Eagle that will give you inspiration and advice for taking charge of your life and living your dream. From Eagle’s message and the action steps shared at the end of the article, you will be able to choose some specific actions you can take to implement real positive changes in your life right now.

In order to create real change and transformation in your life, it is not enough to know what to do. You also have to implement that knowledge and create daily habits that support your dream and desired goal. Small steps taken consistently can, over time, will enable you to transform your life.

I invite you to have a pen and paper ready as you read Eagle’s message, and write down the parts that stand out and are relevant for your right now.

"Focus", I hear Eagle say. And then he continues: "Most people go more or less blindly through life, letting life happen to them, so to speak. They don't realize that they have the power and ability to create the life that they want. Instead of letting yourself and your awareness drift in a state of half unawareness, begin to move towards greater focus. Put time aside each day to meditate, to become present, and gently let go of thoughts, worries - simply becoming present where you are, in the place you are in, as well as in your body. That is in itself a powerful practice that you can practice anywhere.

In these times of quiet, of becoming present and focused, you can for example connect with your dreams. Take out a journal and note down what your ideal life will look like. What are you doing, where are you, how do you feel. Go into as much detail as you can. And as you change, your goal might also change. It’s an evolving process. It's life.

Next, identify one step you can take right now that can move you closer to your dream. Just that first step. Note it down.

This is just the beginning, the beginning of you taking responsibility for and charge of your own life, and moving closer to your dreams.

A tip:

Instead of keeping that dream out in the future and having it only as a goal you move towards, find ways to live and experience the essence of that dream life right now. That is perhaps the most powerful part of this exercise.

Let also the practice of gratitude become a part of your life. That will not only help you become and stay more aware and present; it will open your heart and draw to you what you desire."

Action steps

While the message from Eagle is inspiring, taking action and implementing at least some of his suggestions is key to integrating his wisdom in your daily life.

Which of the following action steps are you inspired to take today?

  • Do a meditation each day.
  • During your day, take time to stop and become present, in the place you're in and in your body. In my experience, this simple technique is very powerful, especially if used on a regular basis.
  • Connect with your dream and identify one important step you can take to move closer to that dream today.
  • Start a daily gratitude practice.
