Experience oils from the inside out and the outside in

There are so many wonderful ways to care for your skin. One of my favorite is working with oils. I spent many years in the cosmetic industry so I always experimented with different kinds of oils, These are just a few:  Most of these oils may be used, in food, directly on the skin, in your bath or added to a product.

I have chosen a few oils, and their benefits.

Almond Oil;  a light sweet oil

I just love the smell of almond. It is a gentle sweet aroma like the whiff of almond cookies. Mmmmmmmmmmm. When it is used on the body, it smooths, softens, hydrates and moisturizes. It has vitamin E and D in it and is a great oil for food as well. This oil feels so good applied to the body. Use it after you bathe, on warm, barely damp skin as it soaks right in and feels divine. I even found information on the internet about using it on the scalp to strengthen hair follicles.

Pineapple Oil; a light sweet uplifting oil.

I was just at a nail salon the other day and the refreshing sensation of the pineapple oil being massaged on my hands and my feet reminded what a special role this oil plays in great skincare. It can be used as a moisturizer for your skin and nails, as well as helping you slough off old skin cells. In many different countries, pineapple oil is daily part of a great skin regimen. It can be used a massage oil, bath oil, helps with dental surgery, and as well as hair conditioner. It is great for firming flabby skin and cellulite. It even helps with burns. Pineapple oil is filled with calcium, potassium, magnesium, vitamins C, B1, B6, and copper. It’s delicious to eat also.

Coconut Oil; a light enriching oil.

The coconut is considered to be a fruit, nut and/or seed. You can eat it, drink it, use it on your skin, and even cook with it. Coconut oil is also utilized to reduce inflammation, hair and skin care, boost your energy, weight loss, helps your immune system, help your digestion, your heart and kidneys, dental care, cancer and even high blood pressure  It helps with wrinkles, age spots, and sagging skin. This oil contains lauric acid, capric acid and caprylic acid. Coconut oil has antioxidant, antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial properties.  This oil is incredibly beneficial to the inside as well as the ourtside. Just add this oil to your life, and you will see all kinds of transformation.

Olive Oil; a heavier detoxifying scent

The olive is a fruit from the olive tree This oil is used cooking, eating, skincare, and body needs. It contains linoleic acid, which stops water from evaporating. When my hands are dry, I rub straight olive oil on my hands and put my soft gloves on and let it soak in.  They feel terrific in a little while. Olive oil combats free radicals that damage the skin. It is high in monounsaturated fatty acids, which help with high cholesterol.  It is such a wonderful skin moisturizer as well as it can be added to the bath. It also helps moisturize your hair and scalp was well. Olive oil has so many fantastic uses from loosening zippers, fixing door jams to helping earaches.  There is even a special 3 day apple fast from Dr. Joshua Stone with I am University. After your fast, you take some olive oil for cleansing the body. I even saw some information about giving it to your cat for hairballs.

Avocado Oil; a heavier scent

Avocados have the most vitamin E of all the fruits. They also contain fatty acids and youth mineral potassium. Due to this large concentration of E, they are able to assist with the aging process, and protect skin from being damaged by the sun. It is a wonderful moisturizer for dry skin; helping with age spots, scars, dry skin and hair. It is also useful in treating skin conditions like psoriasis.  It keep skin flexible and strong by increasing collagen. Some people enjoy using this for cooking as well.

Tea tree oil;  a strong medicinal scent

This oil comes from the tea tree in Australia. It is antibacterial, antiseptic, antifungal and antiviral. It is used to help with dandruff, insect bites, ringworm, athletes’ foot, cuts, acne, and so much more.  It does have a strong pungent scent almost like pine oil.  It may be also used as mouthwash but it must be diluted. It must not be used internally or swallowed, Please keep it away from your eyes. It is very refreshing on the scalp as well.

Each of us have preferences to the oils we eat and use on our skin and body. Just let your soul guide you to the perfect smell that makes your senses pop and your body tingle with joy.

I love you so much,

Jacqueline
