FLAG OUR WAY FORWARD
Sunday I went to Victoria park and paused to take a moment as it is
National VICTIMS OF Crimes Awareness week I was put in the paper, and got the article
And have not read the article, as I was inspired by the caption to write my own view.
When we have been victims we can continue to be victims or we can begin the healing path.
For me it all began in 2009 I started to heal, and did what many would never do.
I exposed myself in an artistic way covered in lavender. I did this to heal.
Yet what I did people did not take lightly, and removed, all of my hard work, and left
Me to continue to be a victim. So how could I start to heal? I began blogging and the blogs
People did not like, my children where taken away. Again victim.
If someone is using their arts, and writing to heal, and need it, and then people turn and
Take everything away. What message does that send?
How can we flag our way forward in society, as an artist, writer victim, and have I never once abused a
Soul.
If the arts community supports you, yet others don’t understand your works and try with all there might to
stop your passions, and love. Your healing path to wellbeing.
Some people will never get or understand your work, yet others don’t really try to understand, they just see things in how they view it
in their creative way.
That’s why I love being immersed in the world of the arts community in Regina.
As we all are creating our own unique masterpieces and what beauty we create.
When you are a victim, we have to be strong, we have to get out, we have to be assertive, and we have to heal.
Yet it all is in how we do it, and we all have to do it in our own unique way to flag our way forward, and be a victim no more.
