Many foods are vital to our life because they contain lots of Qi energy, while others deplete our energy. Here is a list of foods that help bring Qi energy into our body, and thus creating and maintaining youthful vigor… with energy over a life time.

Greens - Greens are vital to the flow of Qi energy in the body. Take for example eating a nice green salad and waiting 5 minutes, soon we feel invigorated with energy to burn. When we eat heavy cooked foods we drag and that means a lack of vitality, and that in turn means a lack of Qi energy.

Other Veggies - Other raw veggies and slightly steamed veggies also contain Qi energy like like greens. Take for instance red bell peppers, yellow squash, butternut squash, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, and other veggies… all have great vital energy.

Fresh Fruit - Fresh fruits are packed full of lots of Qi energy. Just look at a beautiful peach, see the bright color, smell that bright smell that’s very tantalizing and full of energy. Even fruit juices are wonderful for picking up Qi energy, in fact fresh fruit juices are much better than soda and sugary drinks in general which have no Qi energy at all. Try food such as apples, peaches, lychee, berries, fresh dates, fresh figs, mangos, papaya, and many more fresh fruits that build Qi.

Raw Nuts - Raw nuts have all their vital energy stored within them. They are the seed that could be planted in the ground and thus the energy of the tree is waiting to burst forth. Things like raw almonds, coconut, walnuts and some other nuts are all great Qi energy cultivators.

Seeds - Raw sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, lotus seeds, pumpkin seeds, and many other types of seeds are full of Qi energy and help to bring about the bounty of great Qi energy to the body.

Beans - Beans are not usually consumed raw but some can be sprouted and then they can be eaten raw. Also beans are one of the few cooked foods that also provide Qi energy. Having beans daily are very good for improving Qi energy. Beans are best if they are organic and cooked daily… or at least cooked once a week and used for that week. And beans are also a balancing agent for Qi in the body, thus helping to keep everything in harmony.

Seaweed - Fresh seaweed like that used in seaweed salads are packed full of Qi energy. In the west we tend to ignore seaweed as being a vital food in general, but this wonderful red, green, and black veggie from the sea is packed full of vital Qi energy.

Soy - Some people have said that soy is not good for us, but in general unsweetened soy milk, tofu, and other soy products contain a good amount of Qi energy. It’s unfortunate that many people in the west don’t have the natural enzymes to break it down and thus can’t benefit from it’s great Qi energy. I for one love all soy products and feel great when I eat them. But for other people it can rob them of Qi energy—we are all different, so try it and see.

Teas - Green tea, herbal teas, black teas, and some other types of natural beverages also bring Qi energy into the body.

Natural Water - Waters from a running streams, from fresh fallen rain, and from upwelling natural springs that are not bottled are amazingly full of vital Qi energy. In fact I know a man who has a natural artesian well on his property, and he swears that he started to feel so much better after he started drinking only the water from that well. He now goes out daily to bring water to the house for drinking.

Qi Robbers - Remember to stay away from processed foods, fast food, lots of cooked food and especially overly cooked food, very cold food and very hot food, all chemicals, chemical sweeteners, chemical preservatives and colors, and GMO foods and foods that contain pesticides, and chemical fertilizers. Also wheat, sugar, extra oils and fats, and some other grains that tend to pull us down and make us drag. All of these negate Qi energy in our body and thus we start to drag and feel down, we become depressed, gain weight, and our minds are filled with sadness.

Aways Listen - It’s important that we listen to our bodies, we are all different and thus have different needs, and what one person needs may be totally different from what someone else needs. When we eat something it’s important to wait 15 to 30 minutes and see how we feel. If we feel up and full of energy then that particular food is bringing us vital Qi energy. If we are dragging then that particular food is pulling vital Qi energy from our body. In this day and age we have forgotten how to listen to the intelligence of our own body… which is vitally important. Our bodies know much more than we give then credit for.
