Health Benefits of Fuyu Persimmons and Tea - A Versatile Winter Fruit

This great fruit originally from China and Japan is packed full of great health benefits. 

Fuyu Persimmons are sweet and non astringent like their cousins that are found naturally growing in the states. But Fuyu Persimmons grow all over the world now, including Japan, Brazil, Korea, China, and even in California. 

Fuyu Persimmons are full of great soluble fiber which is important for cardiovascular health. They also contain lots of antioxidants, A, B, C, E, K Vitamins, calcium, potassium, choline, phosphorus, iron, zinc, copper, manganeses, and selenium.

Fuyu Persimmons contain lots of Omega 3 and 6 Oils too which help prevent cardiovascular disease and strokes. And one Fuyu Persimmons contains just a little over 110 calories, great for helping you lose weight and they contain no cholesterol or fat.

Studies have shown that the amount of fiber, soluble fiber, and antioxidants in Fuyu Persimmons is much higher than in other fruits like apples and oranges. 

Fuyu Persimmons contain lots of cancer preventing compounds like shibuol and betulinic acid and also gallocatechin and catechin which are powerful antioxidants that help to prevent disease.

And studies done on mice and rats show that persimmons can prevent memory loss.
