The word religious means of God, or divine, but nothing divine is happening to the Yazidis people at this time. Our planet is in a very dangerous circumstances, like nothing humanity has seen, at least not since the Inquisitions, or Nazi Germany.   Mass weapons of destruction in the hands of unstable and powerful dictators, radical religious terrorists on the move, poverty and disease, children and young girls being sold in sex slavery and all in the name of God.

While checking out at the grocery store, I noticed the headlines regarding women, children, the injured and elderly migrating by foot across the Turkish border carrying on their backs their belongings. They were running from the militant group ISIS who had already taken over 40 villages.  Later the national media ran footages of the forced migration and genocide. I could not get the faces out of my mind of those desperate people.  At first when they got to the border they were met with barbed wire, and a Turkish army that would not let them in.  Turkey has already taken over 600,000 refugees however; the Turkish army finally agreed to let them cross.

Yazidis are a people of the Middle East, particularly living for eons in northwest Iraq, northwestern Syria and southeast Turkey. They were until the genocide, numbered between 70,000 to 500,000 people. The Yazidis are not Muslim, but their faith is derived from Christianity. It is impossible to convert to Yazidism you must be born into it. The Yazidis believe that souls pass into successive bodily forms (transmigration) and that gradual purification is possible through continual rebirth, making Hell redundant. The worst possible fate for a Yazidi is to be expelled from his community, as this means their soul can never progress. Conversion to another religion is, therefore, out of the question. A very mysterious people who have traditionally held themselves apart in small communities, thus their beliefs have been misunderstood. Feared, violated and persecuted like other minorities in this region they have become the target of genocide by the Sunni extremists militant a group called IS, or ISIS.  Many are shot or beheaded, the women raped and/or given to ISIS soldiers as reward for service to the terrorists group.   Their name actually means “Worshippers of God.”  Until the genocide began and the forced migration into Turkey their most holiest of temples was in Lalesh, Iraq 430 kilometers from Baghdad.

UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad al Hussein said: The array of violations and abuses perpetrated by ISIL, or ISIS and associated armed groups is staggering, and many of their acts may amount to war crimes or crimes against humanity.  In August, the UN said, ISIS took 450-500 women and girls to the Tal Afar citadel in Iraq's Nineveh region where 150 unmarried girls and women, predominantly from the Yazidi and Christian communities, were reportedly transported to Syria, either to be given to ISIS fighters as a reward or to be sold as sex slaves. According to investigators, slave markets have been set up in Raqqa, Syria and the al-Quds area of Maturat in Iraq partly to attract new Islamic State fighters.

Reports are that captured women, who had managed to keep their mobile phones and reported being sexually abused, have contacted the UN.  Confirmed reports are also that 500 women were reported as having been taken when militants overran a Yazidi village in northwest Iraq.  Women have been treated particularly harshly, the report said:  ISIS (has) attacked and killed female doctors, lawyers, among other professionals.  It quotes a Euronews interview with a 19-year-old mother whose husband was shot by ISIS fighters, as they swept through the Sinjar area in northern Iraq before she was sold in Mosul. The woman, named Amsha, is reported as saying: One Yazidi woman was given to 10 Muslim ISIL men. We were sold for $10 or $12. Who could accept that behavior? Can God accept that?

In a statement, Zeid Ra’ad called again for the Baghdad government to join the International Criminal Court, saying the Hague court was set up to prosecute such massive abuses and direct targeting of civilians on the basis of their religious or ethnic group.   At least 9,347 civilians had been killed and 17,386 wounded so far through September, well over half of them since the Islamist insurgents began seizing large parts of northern Iraq in early June, the UN said.

It is documented, a phenomena associated only with humankind namely a dark and evil behavior whereby heinous crimes are perpetrated against each other in the name of God.  What is this phenomenon that exists in the DNA of humans to destroy each other, and why is it necessary for humans to stamp murder, genocide and sexual abuse of innocent women and children with the blessing of a God?  The word God means many things to many people; in this case they are using a name that has nothing to do with the Creator of the Universe.  Just as there is no God that condones genocide, legions of angels from the highest realms of heaven where the Creators abide are not coming in the clouds to rescue people who are running for their lives and to stop the carnage caused by this group of terrorists.   Sounds harsh I guess to make such a statement however, the good news is those coming to aid these people are already here.  It’s us!

There is a different human walking this planet the evidence is the millions of people who are seeking the purpose of life and joining in oneness to save animals, sea life, the earth and other humans.  Action must be taken to rescue and defend those who are defenseless and who are at risk of being murdered for no other reason than they are not of a particular religious sect.  It steps humanity back 10,000 years if this aggression and genocide is allowed to continue.

Humans have within their DNA great love and compassion because “Great Love” created us and we are capable of doing wonderful things for each other.  And in that highest of heavenly realms a great celebration will be held radiating to our hearts and souls as Mother/Father God rejoices with us for we have saved ourselves.

Listed below are just a few organizations that are helping the displaced people of this region, there are many more, or perhaps you have the connections to start your own humanitarian funding.‎
