Did you know... you can make your own nut milk?
It’s simple and fast and tastes GREAT!
Take any kind of nut or seeds that you like such as almonds, brazil nuts, cashews, chia seeds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds... or any other kind of nut or seed that you can think of can be made into a very nutritious milk that does the body good. You can even make blends of different nuts and seeds together.
Use a good blender, (You will need a powerful blender to make this work), and fill the blender 1/2 full of nuts of your choice. Now add the flavoring that you want, perhaps a little bit of vanilla bean, cinnamon, dates, whatever you feel you would like you can add to your wonderful nut milk (or you can make it without flavors... that’s up to you). Be creative this is your time to create something that no one else has made.
Now fill the blender with water, about one or two inches above the nuts. Put on the lid and blend on high until everything is totally liquid.
Taste it, does it need something else?
Then add whatever your heart desires at that point.
Use a cheese cloth bag or use a fine mesh strainer and strain out all the lumps and hard pieces still left in the nut milk. Add water to the consistency that you like and store in a glass or plastic container in the frig for up to a week.
Also at that point you could add honey for a little extra sweetness and other flavorings too.
This is a simple way to make something very nutritious and full of live vital energy that hasn’t been sitting of the store shelf for long periods of time.
