Moon in Aquarius, Mercury in Taurus: standoffs with Saturn and Mars

I think what I love most about studying astrology is the constant changing of the interplay between the planets and the luminaries - like the weather in Colorado - no matter how

prepared you are, there's always a surprise in store.
Yesterday the tulips were radiant in the Sun screaming HELLO! to the Spring

Today, May 1st, here is my Amethyst crystal under the Japanese Maple tree!

The planetary weather is as interesting and changing as what falls from the Sky into our personal life experience. If you don't have to drive or shovel this might be just your kind of day. Or maybe you like driving in the snow and shoveling your walk. Whatever happens you are experiencing life through the filter of your own perception, which you have created through your programming and your nature. Same with what's happening in the cosmos. The  Aquarian Moon, happy in her emotional detachment, eager to engage with each person and each experience with an open, inquisitive mind might feel like a breath of fresh air to some and dismissive and seemingly uncaring to others. How you emotionally respond to the movement of the Moon is determined by your own birth chart and the level of evolutionary development you have mastered on your journey.
This  airy Aquarian Moon squares the communication planet Mercury who just moved into Earth sign Taurus. Open-minded, visionary Aquarius can feel somewhat baffled by the earth-bound, practical minded Taurean Mercury. Saturn in Scorpio and Mars in Taurus add some more tension-creating squares with a heavy dose of emotional intensity and the desire to take action in a very concrete way.
Advice for the day: Look for BEAUTY and HUMOR in every moment. This too, as all things do, will pass and you don't want to waste ANY of your precious life force fretting and fussing. Find something to laugh about and laugh til your face hurts.

Search out an amethyst and let the amethyst connect you to the brilliance of the Aquarian Moon. Stay appropriately detached from drama. Imagine if my Japanese Maple took every snowstorm as a personal assault - she would have given up years ago. As a Light workers and way showers there's no giving up for you - just relishing the changing weather, rejoicing in your work to uplift, inspire, and ignite your birthright - Unconditional LOVE - in yourself.
