Many people think that once you have heart disease that it’s impossible to turn it around and become healthy again. And some people think that once you have diabetes you have diabetes for life... and both are not true.
There are many great ways of naturally healing diabetes and heart disease and there have been so many amazing studies showing that it is possible. Unfortunately once these studies get out the doctors who show these amazing break throughs are chastised or asked to leave the medical profession. But that does not take away from the facts... we can heal!
A young woman asked 3 people to live a vegan life style for 6 months to see if there would be any changes. Three people sign up and blood work was done, blood pressure taken, and energy levels were discerned. At the end of the 6 month period all of the people in this small study lost weight from 5 to up to 40 pounds, their blood pressure went down by up to 40 to 50 points, their blood sugar levels dropped, they had their cholesterol go down by up to 30 to 40 points, their LDL’s or bad cholesterol drop drastically and their good cholesterol shot up too... and they had more energy than they ever had before.
Dr. Esselstyn did a study of 23 people with terrible heart disease being put on a vegetarian diet... and found that those that stuck with the diet (18 of them) had a reversal of their heart disease... with their arteries opening up... and blood flowing better than ever.
There was a man who was 45 years old and was a type II diabetic on insulin. He started a vegan diet and when he went back to see his doctor a year later he was totally cured of diabetes. And there are many more people with amazing changes by becoming vegan or vegetarian.
In another study of the total population of the US they found that vegans had a much lower incidence of disease, cancer was very low, obesity was none existent, diabetes was almost totally unheard of, and heart disease and stroke was amazingly low compared to the general population. Plus almost everyone on a vegan diet had good bone health and were in amazing condition.
Vegans can get enough Omega 3 rich polyunsaturated oils in their diet by eating seaweed, and if they take B Vitamin supplements, eat iron rich foods, take mineral supplements including zinc they can be healthier by far than the average person.
Dr. Max Gerson was a big supporter of vegetarian diets and was able to cure many people of lots of diseases with diet. Dr. Dean Ornish is a powerful proponent of being vegetarian, plus Dr. Benjamin Spock, Dr. Mercola famous for natural medicine, Dr. Colin Campbell who wrote the China Study, and the thousands of people in India that have been vegetarians for hundreds of years... plus many of the great sages, gurus (Sai Baba), and even Buddha was vegetarian.
Consumption of animal fats is connected to diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, strokes, high blood pressure, osteoporosis, lung cancer, colon cancer, obesity, and gallstones. Being a vegan or vegetarian has a lower incidence of surgeries too... such as angioplasty, cancer surgeries, open heart surgeries, surgeries for vascular diseases of the extremities and more.
Those who eat vegetarian diets have low cholesterol, lower blood pressure, lower incidence of stroke, liver disease, obesity, lower incidence of cancer, and have more energy and vitality. And it has been proven that eating soy products can help you deal with stress better. And by eating chlorella and spirulina you can have all the needed amino acids and all the none essential amino acids too... thus you have all the amino acids or proteins you need.
Even the American Heart Association says: “Vegetarian diets can be a healthful and nutritionally sound if they’re carefully planned out and include essential nutrients.”
Being a vegetarian or vegan and being healthy also means staying away from refined sugar and lots of fats and carbs from refined flour... and baked goods in general, and also artificial chemicals in foods.
Being a vegetarian does not mean drinking a liter of soda and having a pound bag of potato chips for dinner. And you still have to exercise daily by walking, hiking, biking, swimming, weight training and getting out into the sun and having fun.
But in general those who suffer from heart disease and diabetes can find great vitality and amazing health by becoming a vegan or vegetarian.
There is hope!
