Natural Ways of Healing Sore Muscles After a Workout

If you workout and find that you have sore muscles afterwards or if you have muscle pain here are a few ways you can ease your pain.

There are many great teas that will sooth away your pain. Putting together a combination of chamomile, crampbark, lemon balm, passion flower, and even some linden flowers and boiling them for a while makes a great tea that will sooth away your aches and pains.

Also devils claw powder is wonderful for getting rid of those muscle aches and helping you to feel better. Ginger will increase circulation and help with inflammation at the same time... so make yourself a nice cup of ginger tea and it will also sooth your GI tract too! Kava Kava is a very good muscle relaxing agent that will help you relax and get rid of those small aches and pains. Turmeric is a wonderful anti-inflammatory agent that will sooth away your irritated muscles so you can rest at night... and also boost your immune system at the same time.

Boswellia is a powerful anti-inflammatory agent that will calm down irritated muscles and also help with stiffness and pain.

Green Juicing of cucumbers and celery will do the trick easily and naturally. Both of these foods are great anti-inflammatory agents and also help sooth your irritated muscles and alkalize your body thus helping to end the cycle of chronic inflammation. You can also add in collard greens, spinach and other greens that are also great anti-inflammatory foods.

Tart cherry juice is great for getting you back to exercising and making the pain of exercise disappear. Studies show that taking a glass of tart cherry juice after a workout shortens recovery time.

Acerola Berry is a great anti-inflammatory food that will get your sore tired muscles back in shape. Eating the fresh berries is much better than just drinking the juice... because the whole berries are higher in anti-inflammatory agents.

Garlic is one of the top foods for reducing inflammation and boosting your immune system at the same time... you can never get enough garlic and you can find garlic every where.

Green tea is full of powerful polyphenols or antioxidants thus it’s also a great anti-inflammatory agent too... be sure to drink lots of green tea and water.

Burdock root will remove lactic acid that has built up in your muscles causing pain, rosemary, MSM, grape seed extract, and feverfew are other herbs that will help end your sore muscles and get you up and going again.

Also potassium, niacin, B-6, calcium, and thiamine are very important for recovery of muscles that have been over worked. There are even special formulas on the market made of these ingredients.

Also there are a few foods to stay away from: all processed and fast foods, wheat, trans fats, bacon, sausages with nitrates, artificial food additives of any kind, salt, dairy foods, soda and fried foods... all of these will create inflammation.
