"Self condemnation in any form is sometimes a comfortable place to be where we have no responsibility to our true Selves. We can meditate, chant, use crystals and incense, do special exercises, use affirmations proclaiming our divinity forevermore, but for as long as we hold judgments against ourselves, awakening will be nothing more than words... No desires can come to you while you are in any way disapproving of yourself. No well being, no good health, and very little joy is what you should expect. Until we can stand in the presence of our own Being without judging or resisting what we see, true empowerment will elude us."
Where in your own life do you judge, critize, condemn, ridicule, yourself?
What is the 'story' behind the thought?
Where did you learn it?
What is the 'positive' benefit you receive from doing this to yourself?
What behaviors and beliefs have manifested to keep this process alive?
Can you allow the thought to be there without a 'story'?
Are you willing to let it go?
