Tangy Stir Fry Cabbage
:: Ingredients ::
1 Whole Medium Size Cabbage
1 Onion (Yellow is our preference)
¼ cup Shredded Carrots
1 Bell Pepper (Slice or Cube)
½ - ¾ Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Red Peppers (if desired)
Fresh Minced Garlic to desired taste
½ Cup Chopped Cilantro
Extras & Optional
Tabasco Sauce – Fresh or Cooked Tomatoes
1-2 Cups Ground or Chunk Lean Meat (Turkey or Chicken Preferred)
:: Directions ::
Cook meat & drain any excess grease off. Place ALL ingredients together excluding the cilantro, which will be added the last 3-4 minutes.
Stir and allow ingredients to cook until the vegetables are tender, but still crunchy.
Add the Cilantro and any additional ingredients desired.
Simmer for several minutes.
This can be used as a main course or served as a side dish. Toasted homemade bread is a perfect addition to this meal.
Great combination of textural experiences for the palette.
