The air carries a chill and freshness, the sounds of geese getting ready to take their southern flight is heard throughout the day and the night closes in earlier.  Travel a country road and you may be honoured to smell the sweetness of ripening apples and plums, see the last of the corn stalks drying in the fields and roadside stands overflowing with the bounty of the harvest.  Officially the Autumn Equinox begins on September 22, 2013 at 4:44 P.M EDT.

After the hard work of tending the gardens and fields the last of the labour is in sight.  There is a sense of accomplishment that comes with reaping what you sow…well, at least most of the time. There may be times when the garden didn’t yield quite what you thought it would due to unforeseen circumstance preventing you from giving the garden the attention it needed during the summer or too often, you may simply have chosen to neglect what you planted hoping something or someone else would look after things for you.

You move through the year and your life in time with the seasons. Like the garden and fields, the seeds you planted as your ideas, dreams and desires began to grow through out the summer of your life. This could be the actual seasons of a year, within a month or week or over your entire lifetime. Can you see where people you met, jobs you have had, circumstances that have come along have influenced how well you tended your garden? If you are like most folks you began your planting with great enthusiasm. All too often though you may have become distracted and things got in your way maybe even to the point that you stopped thinking about your desires altogether.  Even so, once you have planted the seeds they do take root and from time to time, your attention will be drawn to them.

Autumn comes and it is now time to begin harvesting the fruits of all your labours. This may come in the form of a connection you have been waiting for, a job or position you have earlier applied for, a sense of calmness and peacefulness you have been searching for or even finishing a material task. The fall is all about completion and bringing things to a close, keeping what you need to move forward into the next phase of your life and getting rid of things that will not last or no longer serve you.

If you were to think of the seasons in comparison to the Maiden, Mother and Crone, the late summer and autumn is like the Mother. She puts the plan and ideas of the Maiden into action and sees them through. She knows when it is time to bring things to a close. Through the Mother’s experience, she knows when it is time to pass on the duty to the Crone, who in her great wisdom will honour the completion and prepare for the silence and introspection that come with winter.

You can call on your own inner Mother who knows how to follow through all the synchronicities in order to have your desires come to full bloom. It begins with honouring your intuition and the guidance of your angels.  It is having faith and trust in the Universe to provide what you need at the right time. It is then trusting in yourself enough to know whom, what and when to follow that intuition. It is being brave enough to just go for it and MAKE things happen rather than waiting for someone else to decide things for you. It is taking control of your own destiny. You planted the seeds, you decided how you would look after you garden now you can see what you have to harvest. Never give up, never leave anything behind unless it no longer serves you and accept what is yours.  Even if your harvest is not as good as you had wanted, take responsibility for the part you did or didn’t play in its growth. Take it all in, no matter how great or small it appears to be.  Learn from it, but complete it so you are free to carry on or start again in a new way.

What do you have ready to harvest in your life? Do you see or feel where things are changing, opportunities are opening? How can this be used to manifest what you desire? Are you now willing to trust in the Universe to lead you where you need to go, to bring to you what you require and are you willing to trust enough in yourself to take that leap of faith to make it all happen?

Hi Janice - would you like to post this article as a discussion in the Time Sensitive Group (link below) to catch the Autumn equinox on 22nd September so that the publishers can consider it for timely inclusion in the Magazine. Could you pop a brief BIO in at the end for the benefit of the reader. Love the prose in your article   Link to Time Sensitive Group :  http://community.omtimes.com/group/time-sensitive-material
