Throughout our lives, we are tested in our interactions with others. What we carry with us as we go through life makes a difference in how we respond and react to drama and conflict. When we understand our early life and how our parents’ interactions had an effect on our mindset, we can release negative reactions. We can learn new techniques to help us rise above fear, neglect, criticism, sibling rivalry and the need to control others by vying for energy.
Filling the inner void we feel can be accomplished by letting go of the need for approval and attention. When we are seeking success in any way, we can learn how our belief in ourselves comes from our universal connections to the endless source of healing energy. We learn that instead of taking energy from others, we can share energy and replenish it anytime through our spiritual beliefs and practices. Others who try to take our energy will be recognized and deflected when we can identify the control drama taking place.
A person who is operating from a parent ego-state can exhibit behaviors of aggression, being an interrogator or intimidator. Another who is coming from the child ego-state can show a passive ‘poor me’ or aloof-type personality who continually plays the victim. When we can acknowledge these behaviors in ourselves, our parents or those around us, we can consciously work to heal and overcome blatant negative energies. We have to learn to trust ourselves and our opinions in moving forward through life with unconditional love for ourselves unto others. Taking away the judgments and criticisms helps us with acceptance and accountability of Spirt. When we know we are all still learning, growing, processing and evolving, it is an incredible “lift” to the energy we take in and we are able to share this others without depletion.
As adults we can learn not to blame our childhood or others. Those who manipulated and tried to control us, thus affecting our current state of mind and energy levels. The behaviors that are based in fear can be replaced with determination, curiosity, information uplift and positive expression. We will always encounter others who are argumentative, critical, unappreciative and downright toxic to be near. We can choose to engage with them, going around in circles forever, or we can find solutions to coexist and protect our personal energy fields.
As we release our need to control we set the stage to be able to accept the outcomes of our actions with grace and understanding. If we want to be successful we know that there will be times of disappointment and loss, as well as moments of joy and great accomplishment. We take control of whatever happens without blame, resentment and negativity. When we do this we help to release fear and anxiety over situations that cause us to lose our connections to the source of energy we have available. We no longer need the drama boost we get from others and rely on our own abilities to connect with Spirit and endless healing energy.
Opening our minds to other possibilities is so helpful in processing life options. We may have been taught to see everything in black and white when in reality there are many colorful ideas and solutions to our existence we may not have considered. This is why it is so important to form our own view of everything this life has to offer us, not be persuaded by what has always been done. We learn to form new paths for ourselves to walk on, to leave the past behind without having to live through it again. To understand that others are on their own journey. It is not our place to enlighten or control their decisions and actions. When we can do this, we are free from limitations and the weight of negativity. We can thrive in the experience of life and all that is possible.
