So, did you know there was a lost superpower? Could peace be the missing link? Many of us think of a superpower as something large and overpowering, strong and bold or loud and ominous. The idea that the greatest superpower is internal peace…might appear to be counter intuitive.
We are all familiar with the super-powers displayed by our modern-day comic book super heroes. Even though we may not display super hero strength, flying or sight… being aware of our internal super powers can make all of our lives easier and more fun. What are those internal super powers that can be ignited through the power of peace? Some of these can be realized as:
In fact, this power to shift and intentionally focus on peace is the first step to effectively embrace our internal super powers.
When we let our guard down to reveal a calm wisdom, we allow answers to unfold. These answers may often be blocked by our chattering mind… throwing fear, doubt or worry into the mix.
The practice of taming this chatter by softening our senses,
creates an energy of PEACE. This is the first step in allowing
the field of unlimited potential to emerge.
What is it that this “moment of softening” needs in order to be expansive for my highest good? Am I limiting my options and potential? What else is possible? Do I need to listen more deeply, trust my intuition, be forgiving? Can I peacefully disengage from fear, and open myself to the possibility of self-healing? By anchoring in a peaceful state we have engaged our inner-most superpower, allowing the flow of Qi energy.
What is Qi energy…and how is it part of this process? Qi is the life-force found in all living things. We know our life-force is out of balance when we feel emotions like anger, envy, confusion, guilt, etc.
These feelings are not peaceful and will disrupt our ability to flow in a joyful and productive state. The ability to listen to our mind and body, and shift to a more peaceful, neutral state of being is the ultimate superpower.
We don’t realize that somewhere within us all,
there does exist a supreme self
who is eternally at peace.

Our sense of peace is flowing when we soften our energy to align with a less judgmental, non-defensive state of mind. It’s like communicating with children or animals; we soften our energy to a more open and child-like space.
Maybe…embracing “the lost superpower of peace” can help us realize that the heartbeats of humanity are part of a collective soul family.
