I have successfully manifested several dreams in my life over the last five years. I have lived on an Eco Village in Indiana, spent a year on Kauai with a Native Hawaiian family, and today I am living my dream of writing for a living. All it takes is finding a passion and having the faith that if you put your energy into it, that it will show up in your life. We have no control over how it decides to arrive, the path it takes, or when it will become a part of our reality. Our job is only to find what we truly desire, and then to set our hearts on believing it will find it's way to us at the right time.
Tell me what you love. Share with me the future you are working towards. What story do you dream about yourself that makes you tingle with excitement? Where does your mind go at night when it's free to travel outside of the rules of the busy day? If you will give me this, then I can help you weave your dream.
I don't care if it makes sense to you or to anyone else. If it fills you with hope and excitement, then it's valuable. We as humans are driven by creative energy. When we dream, and even more when we follow those dreams, we create and become energized by that very act. We've all experienced the high we get from a new project or creation. We spend hours imagining how it might turn out. We daydream of the limitless possibilities that this new idea can produce. It becomes our passion, our driving force.
Write down the things you love. How can you weave these passions into your life? It doesn't matter if they are little or big. Start writing a story where the ending is exactly the way you wish.
It could be planning a wedding, or seeking a new job. Perhaps you are building a new house, or constructing the outline for your first book. It's called creative energy and it's a powerful force that can deliver us to some amazing outcomes if we can keep that energy flowing.
What obstacles do you see? Today and down the road. List each one and start planning how to move past each one peacefully and purposefully.
There might be times when we are attempting to create that we run out of drive. I have found that when this happens to me it's usually because I was trying to force a dream that may not be ready to be birthed yet. Usually when this is happening I will encounter several surprise obstacles. If I continue to push past these roadblocks without stopping to take a deeper look at what's occurring, I end up running dry. It was no longer being energized by my soul, but instead, I was working from my pride.
Obstacles are not our enemy but instead they are our teachers. View them as wise ones joining you on your journey towards your dreams. Learn from them, grow, and give thanks, as you redirect your path around them.
When our ego starts taking over our creations, our motivation changes. A true dream from our heart gives us a peace and a knowing. Not the urgency that the pride can produce. Sometimes we fight to create our desire down a certain path and we cling on to achieving it in that one way. That's ego. Our hearts and souls know the best road to our destination and we have to drop our pride and go with the flow, to reach the goal.
Don't try to plan your whole journey from the dreaming to the final creation. Instead, let the Universe guide you in the way you should go. Your job is to mine your heart for the dreams, and to sew them together in your mind with a beautiful tapestry of your passions as the end result.
It may not be money at the end of our journey, but instead a tiny house at the coast, and the ability to retire. Or maybe your dream is to climb Mt. Hood in Oregon. It could even be singing karaoke at your favorite bar for the first time. Your Dream, Your Rules! The reward or path doesn't need to make sense to anyone but you. Even then, at times, it may look crazy to you too. Just remember to trust that the dreams that our soul has embedded into our hearts, will come to life at the right time. But only when we allow, believe, and flow in the energy of our passions.
Dream, dream, dream! Let your passions be your guide. Follow your heart to the place you are destined to be.
