It’s easy to think you are thankful, but putting it all down on paper makes it real... otherwise you’re go through the motions of “Oh Sure I’m Thankful”.
But when you put pen to paper it’s another story. Perhaps at first you’re not be able to come up with anything, nothing comes to mind... and that in itself speaks volumes.
Make a list and don’t leave anything out.
On your list put down all you are thankful for... such as a home, food, people around you, air to breathe, running water, a job, people who care about you, you’re able to walk, talk, able to see all the beauty around you, and that you have time to contemplate your life... and on and on.
If any of these breaks open some feelings, emotions that bring tears to your eyes, all the better, it’s hitting home and allowing you to really become vulnerable to your own life, allowing you to see how wonderful your life is.
This exercise is about grounding yourself in the spirituality... knowing everything is OK and allowing your Divinity to be expressed.
