In order to accomplish anything there must be great devotion.

For instance many gurus expect alms to be paid when you visit them… not that they needed your gift, that’s not it at all, it’s all about detaching from worldly things.

It’s about giving and allowing one to be free of material things. Because how can you devote your life to anything if you clutch to your stereo, car, house, spouse, or anything else?

Clutching brings about fear; fear that your worldly good might be taken away.

And to be devoted… you can’t live in fear… devotion and fear negate each other.

So in order to be devoted you have to surrender… let go… have faith… and know everything will be wonderful no matter what happens!
