Everyone has heard "timing is everything" when faced with a situation that "could've" been. It makes us feel better to know that the universe has decided to place this variable in our path to prevent us from something that is not being given to us. It is a fluke in the appearance of this want or need at the wrong "time". What that really means is that something or someone is "in the way" of what we want, right?
It is important to know that the universes' role in our lives in regard to circumstance, synchronicity and karma is present. However, not EVERY concept is explained by this intervention in its totality.
The universe DOES place these obstacles in our path, yes. They are a test, a tool the universe gives us to help us to understand and negotiate our paths. We have free will. Timing is not to blame for this thing or person passing us by. Time is a concept, its structure is man made. Therefore, using timing as a scapegoat is also man made.
For example, if you are in love with someone and they are with someone else, we say," if only I had met them a year ago", right? We've ALL said that at one time. This is a misleading concept. If the universe wants the two of you together, it will create a circumstance during which the two of you can investigate that possibility. What you both DECIDE to do, is up to you. If you want a job, and were a week late in applying, it is not the fault of timing, it is the universe telling you, this is not for you right now, OR if that job WAS for you, and you were lagging, it will present itself again, giving you the chance to grab that opportunity. If something is supposed to be in your life, it will keep making an appearance somehow and it is up to you to recognize and grab the opportunity. Timing is never an issue is regard to life's path. With the universes' introduction of people and things in your life, comes a complete free will to go with it or dismiss it. It doesnt mean that you are wrong, or that you made a cosmic mistake, it just means that the lessons you were supposed to learn from that opportunity will present themselves is another way.
The universe is a well oiled machine. It knows how many screws go in each table, how many watts go in each lamp, how many people and opportunities it will take to screw in that lightbulb in your life. The trick is paying attention, following signs, recognizing patterns, learning from mistakes, trusting the spirit. Breathing easy! That is the key, trusting in yourself and your surroundings and not assigning blame to people, things or scapegoats like "timing" to justify your "losses". We all have complete control over our impressions, values, moods, coping skills and behavior. Circumstances arise and it is how we deal with them that affects our path. It is not the universes' fault or intention to keep Jack away from Jane just for funsies. If they are supposed to share experience in this life, signs will be made evident for BOTH parties. If Jack chooses not to take advantage of this, then both his and her life lessons in regard to that union will present themselves in other ways. It really is that simple.
Time is a mere concept. It is not a get out of jail free card that lets you throw your hands up in the air and say "oh well". Watch for signs, the opportunity may present itself again. And if it does, pay close attention and respect the universes' persistence...love to you!...xoxo
