For the last ten years, trust and I have been having a love affair. Being a spiritual visionary and supporting other pioneers, I am awed by what people feel around the spiritual principle of trust.
Over and over again, I hear:
Often, people want to trust in order to feel safe and know that all will be well, but that isn’t trust at all. So, what is trust? Trust is a willingness to be open to all possibilities and know that our current experience is not a true reflection of our essential nature. When we move into a practice of trust, we know that there truly is no peril because we are much more than this experience.
Trust Is A Choice
I astound people when I say: just like faith, trust is a choice. Our greatest gift is the power of choice. We get to choose if we want to experience more of the Divine’s love and support, or if we stay in struggle. I know that for many of us, our patterns are so strong that we don’t feel like we have a choice, but we do. Here’s your opportunity to release any judgement around not always being in the energy of trust and to claim that you will be making that choice more often.
What if trust wasn’t a chore? What if it was a practice? Many times when we are receiving the signal of trust, it’s because we want to move from struggle into experiencing more of the bliss of this world. We want to open a pathway that leads to all the possibilities of connecting with our Divinity. The time to practice trust is not only when we are experiencing a challenge, but on a daily basis. A momentary pause to fill ourselves with trust and sit in the stillness of that. To me, that experience feels like a warm, sunny day. It is a feeling of being totally present where nothing else has demands on who we are or what we desire.
Trust Can Be Tough
The practice of trust goes against all our human conditioning and belief in limitations. To practice and be in that unlimited state can feel threatening to our minds. Most of us believe that moving into trust is a guarantee of outcome, and it is not. When we practice trust often, we move past the need for the results of our lives to reflect safety and know that we are safe in spite of outward appearances. Walking With Trust
There is an opportunity in every life to practice and walk with trust more. Not so much to improve our results, but so we can feel and claim the truth that we are not the product of our experiences. If you are interested in creating your own love affair with trust, what is the first step you will choose to take today?
