How can a just belief lead you to your just desserts?
"Life on earth is a whole, yet it expresses itself in unique time-bound bodies, microscopic or visible, plant or animal, extinct or living. So there can be no one place to be. There can be no one way to be, no one way to practice, no one way to learn, no one way to love, no one way to grow or to heal, no one way to live, no one way to feel, no one thing to know or be known. The particulars count.”
― Jon Kabat-Zinn, Wherever You Go, There You Are: Mindfulness Meditation in Everyday Life
How do you measure justice? What ruler are you using? If you believe that all things outside of yourself exists to reflect for you a way to define self, then you really are measuring yourself. Justice is about defining what you have learned and what beliefs you hold. Those beliefs are constantly tested through the law of attraction and the law of karma. These laws may shake you into consciousness in order to teach you how to become responsible for your thoughts, beliefs and actions. You know the saying “the lesson repeats until it is learned”. Very often the learning requires you to dismantle the beliefs you hold that are flawed. Recognizing what is false when the world around you is working hard to convince you otherwise is incredibly difficult. Yet unless you proactively pursue this course, karma will give you her cosmic kick in the pants. The world at large is filled with distractions. It’s your obstacle course, your maze to walk through until you find your center. Why is the world so busy, and filled with distraction? Why do the ads of media promote the idea that you must buy this to look better, or be more valued? What is wrong with you that you must wear a mask, disguise or own a product to elevate your status? If you can’t then they offer you a variety of comfort foods to self sooth. What could be wrong with that?
The world around you is a reflection, both a mirror and a testing ground. It is an extension of yourself and of the collective consciousness. So you see in order to have true justice for yourself, to attract and draw in what really nurtures and supports you, you must go within. You must sort through the illusions and find the truth. Through scrutiny and discrimination you will find the thoughts, beliefs and patterns you need to shift and change. This brings in balance and the scales of justice will reflect that for you. What you attract will change and the most incredible part of this is when you raise yourself you raise all humanity. You are having an individual experience in order to grow but energetically you are connected to all.
Declare your sovereignty, develop immunity from the distractions and take back your power. Define yourself based on your truth not that of others. What if in your center you find an emptiness, a feeling that something is lacking? That will bring with it the temptation to self soothe by reaching out for the comfort food, new gadget, or new wardrobe. Resist it and consider this, what you feel as lack is really disconnection. Why are you disconnected? What are you disconnected from?
There are two components to this. You must connect with the Divine source. Realize that you are not separate from the Divine, rather you are a part of the Divine. The second part is about self-acceptance, self-worth and self-love. You are not imperfect, you are exactly perfect for the life experience you are here to gather. Further, until you learn to accept and love yourself unconditionally you will only attract and accept the love, people and situations you believe you deserve. Every time you reset the scale of justice by altering your thoughts and beliefs you are making the adjustments necessary to affect positive change. This is your life’s work, learning to love yourself and your life. When you learn how to do this letting go of judgments becomes easy, the scales of justice are in alignment and balanced, and karma no longer weighs you down. Love then is the answer, the Beatles summed it up “All You Need Is Love”.
