This video was created for submission into Ytubes Day in the Life capsule. We were to video tape something we did during our day. Anything! I wanted to video tape a yoga class / or a kickboxing one ... but when I thought about the one place that I "FEEL" love coming from all directions I thought of my little SACREDspace.

This space has special significance to me for many reasons, but it was a spot that I shared many tears with while I was going through cancer. I have connected with dragon flies, grasshpppers, deer, wild turkeys, squirrels, ground hogs, bob cats, mean biting asian lady bugs ... to name a few. It was where I healed - alone, writing in my journal.

Passion Flower: TN State Wildflower
The Passion Flower, genus Passiflora, is the official state wildflower. It grows wild in the southern part of the United States and in South America, is also commonly known as the maypop, the wild apricot and the ocoee. The last is the Indian name that has also been applied to the Ocoee River and valley. The Indians prized the Ocoee as the most abundant and beautiful of all their flowers. The Passion Flower received its name from the early Christian missionaries to South America, who saw in the various parts of the curiously constructed flower symbols of the Crucifixion—the three crosses, the crown of thorns, nails and cords.

This plant was a gift for my birthday. As a visual artist, I notice everything. I love colors, smells, sounds ... so when I discovered this new flower the same summer I was diagnosed and I discovered it's historical significance, a special bond was formed.

The pink flowers (which are not really in bloom for their debut) were giving to me during radiation treatments. While waiting, I always met some of the nicest people and because most of us had to have treatments M-F for weeks we got to know each other. ;-D I was told wherever I plant the single flower she gave me, each year it would bloom and remind me of our friendship & connection while we shared a treatment and loss.

This video was a small attempt to share my world with you. To show you from the inside :: OUT who I am and what my TRUTH is. Nature has always been my solitude when I need to heal.

Thanks for stopping by. The video editing was done without me being able to hear the sound - so my fingers were crossed and off it went.

These are the small pleasures of life!
