Some changes will be made in the community of writers until the end of this month.
1.The problem with some writers that continue to use too much the first person in their writings has to be addressed again: You are writing articles, not blogs. Starting April, no article in the first person will be accepted, except the ones that are doing Op-eds. When we opened this opportunity, just one writer volunteered to write op-eds.
2. When you submit an article to Omtimes, you are agreeing on publishing there and in your blog only. In doing this you are preserving the authorship, and not damaging our SEO nor yours. When you write and publish everywhere, you are creating SPAM over the internet, and you will receive negative points in search engines, and so will OMTIMES. If you want to continue with the practice, it is your choice, but the article WILL NOT BE published on OMTIMES. We consistently refuse material from PR agencies that try to pitch the same material throughout all the publishing universe. We pride of being an "author's-writes'" original site, not spam or curation site
3. Despite our previous calls, some of the spotlight writers have not produced anything to be published. I am adjusting the profiles and taking out the ones that have not. Th reason being is that I prefer to work with a smaller team of team workers, than a bigger number that is not interested in being a team player.
4. I will be creating a group inside the community for editors + spotlight writers for the purpose of working out some perks.
Again, if none of this works out, I will have to make different changes including the modification of Omtimes Model.
Keep in mind that OMTIMES model is based on cooperation venture, we are exclusive and very loyal to our writers and in the promotion we offer in return to all.
Tomorrow afternoon I will be available if anyone wants to speak to me, over Skype.
Love and respect to all,
