The Quest
Howbeit that humanity has come to know the ways of death and yet has not learned the ways of life.
Being so overcome with the violations of truth, constantly separating from the whole and becoming
prisoners of our own making by the walls we erect.
Believing ourselves to be cosmic orphans we thereby allow our gifts and virtues to lie dormant.
Seemingly ignorant that it is incumbent upon us to lift the veils of illusion and seek that which is
our birthright.
When we lack true love of ourselves do we not deny the heritage that is rightfully ours?
Hearken to the music and the rhythm of the spheres which sing out to us with every heartbeat and every breath.
Our call is to dismount the ego and bring compassion forth as a more worthy steed.
To know that each soul has been charged with destiny, a required quest to fulfill.
We are not called to be angels but rather conquerors, to arise and beat a path into the dark.
To gird ourselves with love and courage and depart across the threshold into a new and everlasting realm.
Release the ogres of the past, loose the nets from your soul that are withholding you from flight
and renew the magic inside that was once yours as a child.
Let us open that part of our being that longs to be touched by rapture and let the light dispel the
shadows that are hidden within.
Let us embark upon the journey through the luminous seas to the land of the Beloved, from whence we came.
Only there will that which has been lacking be claimed.
The inheritance awaits our arrival and no greater treasures have been found such as those which shine through the windows of Heaven.
That kingdom which lies within...

each line of this poem is filled so much truth!
I am glad I will not read this poem else where, and need to ask can some tell please me who wrote this poem?
I will know she is here on HH, one voice came forth to speak truth and light.

At 7:50 upon waking my slumber, I felt the urgent need to write a poem about one (one is such an interesting number to me) it is actually, to me, not such a lonely number. Well...I turned my computer and I am truly happy I did.
I read you creation! I will print it, and read to my little family this morning. My daughters Emily, Tiffany and to my very discouraged husband. His heart will be filled with joy. At Christmas this year I will share with my my eldest daughters when they come home to visit. This is a beautiful poem.
Well now on to send this to twitter and through my myspace your words to be carried forth. If you would make this into a video I would love to see on you tube.

Thank you for your kind words. At times my heart cries out because there are those who cannot see. Some of us sleep longer and harder than others and so I feel I must blow the horn to keep them from the rocks. I am not so special as you may think. Just trying to express what Spirit brings to my heart. I am grateful that you found it inspiring. That is why we are here. To hold up the light when the lights of those around us are flickering .
