BAMP THE GRAMP

My grandfather on my mother’s side was a tall white haired man he had large gentle kind,

warm caring hands hands. His face was gentle , and his blue vivid eyes danced with love

for all man kind. He called me his little lamb. When I was young he would always go

down to my level, and tell me stories of his pet lamb he had, when he was young.

He was a big wonderful kind man . At a young age his mother died , and his father left

Him in an orphanage. I have a picture of him at the orphanage the grass was fresh , and

green. He wore a clean white linen night gown , as he knelt down beside a cradle filled

with his stuffed dolls and animals. He prayed  I think if I was him sitting there praying I

would pray for , a nice loving family to come take me away.

My grandfather lived a short hard life. You could tell by the lines that were written all

across his brow. He always had a kind heart , and wanted a better life for his young

family. We went on some nice trips , as a family together.

He loved to come out to the lake , and was truly young at heart. One day he got the skis

on. Took off for a ski , and then for some odd reason he had to leave right away.

I really don’t think I to this day  really properly said a loving good bye to my Bamp.

When He was at the hospital he told my mom that he  forgotton to give us our allowance.

He was always thinking about his grandchildren, and was a very giving man.

Before he died he gave my Mom, .25cents for my brother and I. I am not sure what I did

with that money. Although it wasn’t the money that counted it was the thought that he

was thinking about us before he died.  Love you my big kind man with all my heart I will

always be your little lamb. I pray , and know you are watching over me.

Good bye my Bamp
