“4 Steps to Building a Strong Immune System - Step 4”

“Exercise is Vitally Important for a Powerful Immune System”

There have been lots of studies showing that exercise is a vital part of boosting our immune system.

Simple - Taking one hour everyday to do something as simple as…

Walking briskly (5 Miles);

Swimming briskly (5 Miles);

Bike riding briskly (10 to 15 Miles);

Weight training (For One Hour);

and other types of moderate physical exercise keeps our immune system strong.

Moderation is Key - Studies with mice show that lots of exercise does just the opposite, extreme exercise lowers immunity… but mice that were given moderate exercise had a boost in immunity.

So if you exercise to exhaustion you might have endorphins and serotonin in your brain telling you that you feel great. But “moderate” exercise is the best overall for boosting your immune system.

Less Sick Days - And those who exercise take half as many sick days at work… compared to those who don’t exercise.

Improves Mood - And exercise improves our mood… making us feel better by creating the endorphins in the body that change to serotonin in our brain making us feel happy.

Here are some great exercises.

I recommend the following…

Routine - 3 days a week doing the following muscle building exercises, then the other 4 days doing a cardiovascular workout like walking, swimming, or biking.

Also as we age our muscles start to decline… so some kind of resistance training (Weight Training) is vitally important.

Day 1 -  work on your strength training, then the next day do your cardiovascular workout, this type of switching back and forth keeps you from getting bored and keeps your body trim, toned, and vital.
