During this Lockdown due to Covid-19, we have had the opportunity to spend more time with our families and discover more about ourselves and how we feel being in our own company.

With all this spare time on our hands, people have been looking to better themselves through online courses and various creative outlets. Something which has proved to help a lot of people during this period, in allowing people to start or continue their journey of self-discovery are online Meditation classes.

We all know the importance of looking after ourselves physically through exercise and diet, which helps both our emotional and mental well-being. However, it is also equally important to take care of our spiritual well-being, especially during this time of change in World Consciousness. In doing so, all areas of our lives can improve and we can bring a more positive energy into everything that we do.

Our thoughts, our words and the way that we live our daily lives has an impact on every single person we meet and more especially on ourselves. Dis-ease means we are not at ease with ourselves and that somewhere along the way, we lost our inner balance.

It is therefore essential in order to live a happy and fulfilled life to make that conscious decision to give time each day for our own spiritual well-being.

There are numerous benefits, so why not incorporate a daily practise of Meditation into our lives?

By allowing ourselves that time every day to meditate, reflect and embrace all the good things in our world, we can start to reconnect with a deeper part of ourselves and experience more peace in our daily lives.

Many people have been experiencing more peace in lockdown due to meditation and developing their spiritual journeys, but are now feeling fearful that it will all go back to the way it was as life starts to return to `normal`.

You have a choice.

We can always find time to look within and nurse our spiritual side. We never forget to eat or watch a film that we enjoy, the same goes for meditation. If it becomes part of our daily routine, we can achieve great things and find a greater sense of discipline.

Training our minds to focus whilst giving ourselves the time and space to explore a deeper dimension of stillness beyond our overactive thoughts, brings so much peace in our lives.

This is where choice comes in.

True Inner Power is the ability to sit in a park, or even a busy street, close our eyes and be at total peace with ourselves.

To be able to be with family and friends and be completely present. Listening to others without a constant stream of thoughts about worries, fears, anxieties or to-do lists.

Initially, the mind plays all sorts of tricks, telling us to do things like finish work, clean the house, go shopping etc.

Another trick of the mind is to say, “I am too tired to meditate.” But meditation, when done correctly, unleashes a tremendous amount of inner strength and energy.

The mind fights. It is not used to being trained. And yet, with self-discipline we can achieve anything.

When the mind becomes calmer through the power of Meditation, we can finally access our true nature.

This new found awareness wishes to express itself in many forms and shapes and we become deeply creative as we learn to access new parts of our brains.

As our minds become still, we develop the ability to control our emotions and the way in which we react to situations. In turn, our lives change for the better.

We start to really experience our true Self, the Divine light that lays dormant in our hearts.

Once we awaken that inner knowing, and realise that we are much bigger than just the physical body, then we will always continue on the path of Self-discovery.

Life will never be the same again. It becomes so enriching, when you reach that point where you can just be and express yourself in whichever way your soul desires.

The choice is yours.

Time passes, some move forward, some complain about their life circumstances, some are not willing to try something new, to bring a positive, powerful and deep change within. Some try but after not seeing any immediate results, they give up easily. The winners are those who persevere.

Embrace it, love it and know that life is a gift and we have the power to make it amazing.

As the inner world changes so too the outer world has to follow. It is spiritual law.

What choice will you make?
