Grounding during these stressful times
Getting yourself together
How do you ground yourself
Perhaps the most intriguing, and most common way to calm yourself during stressful times is a terrific technique called grounding.
Some suffering from chronic pain, insomnia, and other conditions show improvements after practicing grounding.
Grounding is very calming.
I was taught several techniques in how to help myself. I was always taught to imagine myself as a tree with long roots going into the ground as deeply as a tree would.
An old, established tree with roots that are stable.
Make it a habit of taking a walk to the nearest park, field, comfortable spot where you can feel your feet connecting to the earth. Practice this as often you can.
You can do this perhaps on a quick break, after work or really whenever you have just a bit of time. You’ll not only receive the benefits of grounding, but you’ll also allow yourself the time for fresh oxygen to fill your lungs and hopefully, a few moments enjoying nature, rather than focusing on your phones.
Technology doesn’t ground us, it distracts us. Mother nature’s knows exactly what she’s doing. She gives us many tools. Grounding is one of them. Gardening is also a great opportunity to ground, not to mention eat organic garden vegetables! You can also grow a small garden. It’s fun.
You could walk the beach, go hiking, anywhere that you can connect with nature. I’m highly allergic to ants, bees and wasps, I’m at a disadvantage. However, I’ll take a walk, look at the stars at night and breathe in.
I have to ground myself daily or I cannot conduct readings. I also notice a huge difference when I miss even one day. I feel off kilter so I’m aware of what needs to be done.
Nature is pure, you’re connecting to a living organism as a whole. You are a living soul like our planet that also has a heartbeat. Connecting with the planet grounds you.
If you’re wanting a deeper connection to Mother Earth and her supportive power, a grounding meditation is simple and truly effective as well as empowering way to center yourself.
We all have stress, this is a good way to deal with it while calming your soul.
imagination while meditating can help you project strong emotions and feelings that go out into the universe, sending messages through your heart’s own magnetic field, which acts as a communicator between your desires and the universe will always do just that.
Pick a comfy seat on the earth or as close as you can get. While your eyes are closed start to take slow deep breaths. If you’re able to sit on the ground feel the earth supporting you.
If you can’t like myself, imagine the rich nutrient your soil underneath you with it’s deep colors. Fresh, clean, healthy soil. of the g eyes and breath deeply.
Feel the supporting soil underneath. Breathe in deeply through the nose, out of your mouth slowly.
Imagine your spinal cord and legs just relaxing into the soil as if you are part of it. This connection is always available to you. Return to your heart center. Think of how the earth has a heartbeat that is not aligning with yours then send your blessings of gratitude to Mother Earth out into our vast universe.
Daily mantras are also useful and productive tools to help you all day as you begin to learn this process. They help you stay centered. As you well know words are powerful so keep them positive and reinforce them. You’re body and spirit will get the hang of this as you learn.
“I am centered and connected to the heartbeat of the earth all the time. I have a perfect spirit that God created that connects deeply to the ground. I am calm, strong, capable and peaceful. My spirit is grounded deep in the earth. I am calm, strong, centered and peaceful. I am safe, I have no room for fear only faith. I am blessed”.
You’ve got this!
Lots of love, Michelle
