There have been a number of cases where people have been completely healed of their diabetes because they changed their eating habits and lifestyle. Take for instance a football player Marc Ramirez who had a family history of diabetes and some of his relatives also lost limbs and their eye sight because of their diabetes. And he even got to the point of taking 2 insulin shots a day and 5 medications— Not Good. But with a change of diet and going on a “Whole Foods Plant Based Diet” his diabetes was totally cured. 

On the average most Americans consume from 150 to 170 pounds of sugar a year. And 23 pounds of cheese a year, and from 1957 until now our intake of calories has increased by more than 800 calories. We now consume almost 4,000 calories a day, and most of that is in the form of fats, sugars, and animal protein. And 62% of Americans are overweight with at least 30 pounds of extra weight. Plus our meat consumption from 1950 has gone up from 138 pounds to 195 pounds in the year 2000… and right now it’s even higher. 

The total amount of added fats in the ways of added oils, margarine, butter, salad dressings, cooking oils, and other fats has gone up 44 pounds from 1950 to almost 75 pounds in the year 2000 and it’s even higher now. And the consumption of french fries in the same time period has gone up 63%— Wow that’s a lot of french fries, with lots of added oils and refined carbs. Plus right now the average American consumes over 46 slices of pizza a year— that’s a lot of cheese and lots of carbs, and translates into high blood sugar and high cholesterol. 

And from 1950 to 2000 our consumption of flour and cereal products has gone up by 62 pounds, and all those grains break down into sugars that increase our blood sugar. And corn sweetener consumption has gone up from 11 pounds to 85 pounds for the same time period. And all those nutritive sweeteners increase our blood sugar levels thus we are becoming pre-diabetics or totally diabetic. Our blood sugar should be between 70 and 110 in the morning and anything higher and we are getting into diabetes. 

In fact right now in California over 33% of the population is pre-diabetic or diabetic… and the rest of the nation is not much better. We have an epidemic of diabetes going on, and nothing’s being done to inform the American public that they need to change their eating habits.


In fact there are many people who know they need to change their eating habits but don’t put in the effort. Take for instance a woman who is a complete diabetic and still goes out every week and buys 2 or 3 cakes to eat during the week. Even though she takes insulin and her toes are turning black because of lack of circulation caused by diabetes. 

But we can heal diabetes right now, by changing our lifestyles and exercising more and eating less. And starting to eat a Whole Foods Plant Based Diets. Ditching all the fats, animal protein, and sugar, thus in return we lose weight, and have our blood sugar levels return to normal, plus our cholesterol drops back into the normal range, and our triglycerides also become normal. 

We have the cure for diabetes, in fact we’ve had the cure for a long time. It’s called eating right, letting go of the fatting food, sugar, salt, and all the grain products we consume. And eating organic fruits and veggies which are very healing, and they provide us with lots of nutrients, live enzymes, and enough protein for Iron Man competitors. And a host of Whole Foods Plant Based athletes who are not hurting for groceries.

Another great thing about a Whole Foods Plant Based Diets is that our food bill goes down. Fast food, processed food, and eating out all the time, especially pizza and those sugary drinks all add up and costs an arm and a leg. While eating organic whole foods and contracting with a organic farmer in the area to deliver them to our door is very inexpensive, and cost less than regular foods in the markets. 

There are lots of great “youtube” videos talking about people starting to eat healthy and having their diabetes totally disappear. Yes it can be done and there are lots of people who are actively enjoying a great life now because they gave up all the unhealthy food and decided to eat healthy.
