“It Takes Courage to Change the World”

It’s easy to allow the world to define who we are, and sit back and enable the world to just go on it’s merry way without our input. But it takes much more to take a stand and speak out, and be the one who stands tall in the midst of chaos.

All the great things that have changed our world have come about because of courage. Courage to be different, the courage to rise up against the tide of common thinking. It’s important to assess who we are deep down inside, and see if we can live with ourselves if we do nothing anything, thus allowing things to proceed as usual. Because sometimes we feel worse if we sit back and don’t take a stand. And with media sometimes pushing a particular perspective about what’s going on in the world, it takes great courage to go against the tide.

And courage to help those in need when everyone else is looking the other way. It takes great courage to feel secure, when there are those who are firing darts of anger in our direction. But all those avatars who have come before us were willing to accept those darts of anger and overcome. And feel secure within themselves to the point of becoming amazingly charismatic and thus draw more attention to the plight of others.

Just image what it would be like to be Jesus and have the authorities against every word that’s uttered. Or being Confucius and having everyone angry when the truth is expressed, for Confucius was not popular with any of the kings at the time and had to go into hiding. And even in our modern lives it takes great courage to stand up and save ancient redwoods from loggers. Or speak up when lead pollution is taking over our cities water supply and playing havoc with the health of our children. And to express the fact that nuclear waste is polluting our air and water and taking a stand… and not backing down. And like some who take a stand to help albino children in Africa who are being abused in terrible ways.

It’s vital to forgive, forget, and move on, but it’s also vital to speak the truth instead of holding back thus allowing the status quo to take over. Do we sit in front of the TV set and become hypnotized into complacency? Or better yet, do we fill ourselves with peace and march forth without any kind of armor to make a stand and make life better for everyone. And when we do this we find our true purpose, we find our passion, we find that which makes us get up and get going and feel alive at the end of the day. Courage is nothing more than knowing that feeling of fear, and overruling our fear with great passion which stirs the soul. Be it to ride through the night to alert everyone that the British are coming, or to be thrown in jail while walking in a peaceful march about protect the environment of a island oasis. All these things take courage and great heroism.

We are the hero’s of this day and age, we are the ones who will propel the truth forward to make things change in the world and stop climate change. And we are the ones who will rally all the moxie we have deep down inside to be fearless when all seems lost. To be bold, to have true grit, to be daring in every way is our true legacy that we leave to our children. Thus our children learn to have amazing power and potential, and thus our great grand children will live in a whole new world full of wonder and awe.

Those who are intrepid, those who go the extra mile are never swayed by public opinion. They see the tide rolling in and they are willing to swim against that tide in order make their way to a land of peace and strength. Thus they sit in their rocking chairs smiling, because they know they made a difference. Boldness is always ready to change everything at the drop of a hat. Thus our possibilities of tomorrow become the here-and-now, and we feel at peace that we embraced the challenge to make a dream come true.

Are we ready to make that change? Are we ready to make a stand?

It’s up to us!

Many Blessings to Everyone
