picture life a jigsaw puzzle.. as we are thrust into the world its the same as giving a person a jigsaw puzzle.. the box shows the picture and we may be satisfied with the picture but without completing the puzzle never notice the connecting lines how the pieces fit. awhile back i tore open my puzzle box and spilled the pieces onto the floor.. chaos. slowly i began putting the pieces together finding the edges and working on to the inside.. finally the picture is coming together. glory be revealed to me.. somehow the complete puzzle always looks better then the picture on the box doesnt it?
along the way i have wished often times my puzzle came with instructions.. but what do we tell a child working on a puzzle with similar frustrations? thats not how puzzles work the point is the joy of figuring it out for yourself. there are of course tricks to this puzzle thing. hints you find along the way getting the outline gives you something to work off an idea of where to start. then you can take your puzzle box and analyze the picture.. spread all your pieces out and look for the colours.. every time a piece finds its rightful spot you get a little closer to seeing the whole thing as it should be.
