The creative self is deeply connected with a strong belief system or the spiritual world. We share our deepest emotions through our creative expression. It is the basis for creative solutions to issues in our lives, and the art we create. It permeates every aspect of our lives, including our jobs, relationships, and self image. There are 4 easy steps to reclaiming our creativity.

Creativity is deeply connected with the connections to the spiritual world or simply a strong belief system. How it appears in the world shows the joy, happiness, pain, or suffering of the artist. Our deepest feelings surface through the creative process for the world to see.

Children inherently embrace creativity through their curiosity and exploration. They show these "gifts" through their unabashed questions, and their tendency to be direct about their inquires. Society shifts this innocents into the "accepted" behavior of the societal norms.

As adults, creativity can be a challenging achievement. Between working, paying the bills, and unexpected life events, life becomes an event of "doing" instead of living. It is easy to become a living "doing", and not be living in the moment. There are a few ways to regain this creativity and our inner-peace.

Finding Time for Self

With the busy world, it is challenging to find a quiet moment for self. It is a moment without thinking about the bills, responsibilities, or the family. This is the foundation for finding one's creativity. It is clearing away day-to-day life, and simply feeling.

Time alone is the pinnacle for finding our deepest dreams and our individual true essence. Creativity comes from this core self. It flows from this piece of our being. Through this, we find our inner peace or calm.

Look Inward for Solutions

Our inner voice knows the answers to most of our own life issues. Solutions are empowering, and listening to ourselves is tuning into the functioning of the Universe. To know ourselves is the greatest gift we can receive. As a child, we intuitively know this.

The first change is to change our relationship with life issues. The simple change of words from problem to issue shifts the impossible to the possible. Problems create the feeling of insurmountable odds. Issues always have solutions. It's part of taking one's power back.

Become Fit

A fit body, mind, emotions, and spirit bridge the difficult times with greater ease. Fitness allows us to focus more clearly on life challenges, because our minds and bodies are functioning at a higher level. The more toxic "things" we put into our bodies, the more difficult it becomes to live. We are slowly poisoning ourselves with the toxicity.

Fitness is more than going to the gym and working out. It is a walk in the park, a challenging game of chess, or doctor wellness visit. It is taking care of our body, mind, emotional, and spiritual needs. Other pieces of this puzzle are taking classes, talking to other people, letting go of negativity, and being physically active.

Create a Supportive Group of Friends

It is said that it is easier to move through the world with a group of supportive friends. These are the people who become our "family" outside of blood relatives. We select these individuals for their values, respect, love, or simply because we connect with them on a deeper level.

When life becomes difficult, these people are the one's who offer support, advice, or a hug without expecting anything in return. They know themselves, and do not need to take what they are missing from other people. Conversations are deeper, and it is easier to share creative ideas or dreams.
