Our souls incarnate through the seven rays of spiritual consciousness. Green is the color of the sixth ray. Those who come in through this ray are devoted, true believers with unshakable faith. Loving and sweet when they are at peace but highly emotional when they are challenged. A green-ray soul can be extremely single minded, even fanatical, leaving behind all reason to follow something they believe in. When they evolve and grow through life they can learn to be more open-minded and independent in their thinking.
The heart chakra is a beautiful green. It focuses on compassion, love for self and others, balance, harmony, hope and promotes self-esteem. Connection to your soul and sending love out to others around you is processed through the heart chakra. When unbalanced it can be filled with grief, disconnection, hopelessness and rejection. Sending green-light energy helps in healing a hurting heart.
A green aura represents new changes, envy, growth, exploration, healing, unconditional love through earthly energies. It is also associated with charity, prosperity and peace. Natural born healers, those with green auras, radiate life force through their hands and have a healing effect on those around them. Gentle, caring nurturing and peace-filled, they make great gardeners, nurses, veterinarians. Just all around caregivers. Their healing forces are great with people, animals and plants of all kinds.
Green is a harmonious and peaceful color that brings in feelings of calm and wellness. It makes us feel safe and helps us to balance our emotions. Since there are countless shades of green, different hues can have different effects on our brain. Dark forest green can signify conservation. The biblical meaning of green is resurrection and immortality, a symbol of Spring.
People who love green are known as down to earth, generous, loving and loyal. Green is also known as a color of intelligence. Psychologists have even suggested that painting a child’s room green enhances their intellect and encourages learning. It can also represent luck, hope, money and help concentration. This color represents freshness and harmony. It’s also the signal to “go” at a traffic light. The color green is restful for the eyes and helps anyone who has to sit at a computer screen for extended periods of time.
From grass and trees to the nurturing food we eat, green nourishes us and supplies us with the air we breathe. Foods such as avocados, broccoli, kale, grapes, spinach, and artichokes all promote good health and healing. Green is a wonderful combination of yellow and blue. Crystals such as emerald, green amethyst, malachite and aventurine all have different healing properties. Malachite is believed to heal the heart chakra, bringing in peace along with infusing energetic transformation. Emerald is said to promote kindness and compassion. Long in legend, Jade enhances wisdom and brings good luck.
Green is the color of the energy surrounding those who want to help heal the Earth. Sustainable living is a lifestyle that exists to reduce the use of the Earth's natural resources. Living an eco-friendly existence involves empathy for those in the future, rejecting luxuries, reducing our carbon footprint. Recycle, reuse, reduce and use less energy is living green.
Green has often been known as a color of jealousy or greed but it is so much more than this. Green sustains our human lives with beauty, health, healing and inspiration. It brings in harmony and peaceful feelings. It calms and soothes us, reminds us of the beauty of Spring and of the Earth as a whole. Living, breathing, working to replenishing resources that enrich us and help us evolve and grow spiritually, green is magical. As long as we are alive on Earth, we need the glorious color of green to survive.
