Rose Petals contain Vitamin A, C, D, and E and some B Vitamins too! Rose Petals also contains antioxidants, and they are a mild sedative, anti-depressant, and mood-enhancing agent.
Rose water is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and can be use for all kinds of skin ailments like eczema, psoriasis, and works great for sunburns too!
Rose water is a very mild diuretic, helping to rid your body of excess water, and works well for a gentle detoxing agent. And Rose water helps open up the lungs, and aids in decongesting the nasal passages, sinuses, even asthma… if you add it to a steam bath. In Chinese Medicine Rose Petals are used for pain, menstrual disorders, and GI distress… and Rose Petals work well for curing diarrhea.
In Malaysia and other Indonesian countries they use Rose Water to make syrupy drinks with milk or coconut milk, and they add Rose water to ice tea. They feel Rose Water is soothing and calming for the mind/body. Rose Petals have a great fragrance that will relax and sooth… thus they work well for tea… and you can make Rose Petal Syrup and Preserves.
Rose Water can also be added to rice, puddings, cakes, curries, and even Baklava.
And you can make Rose Petal water which is great for relaxing in your bath, also a good astringent and skin toning agent. Just boil up some rose petals… put it in a bottle and keep it chilled.
Rose water works great for bug bites by…soothing, healing, cooling and getting rid of inflammation.
Rose water is great for the scalp… by nourishing, soothing, and getting rid of itchy flaky areas… also great for your hair, helping to increase blood flow to the hair follicles.
You can make perfumes and soaps, just about anything you can imagine with Rose water… even cleaning solutions by adding Epson Salts to Rose water.
And of course putting a few Rose Petals on your eyes while soaking in the tub will do you so much good… cooling and soothing away the tender areas around your eyes…add a few rose scented candles and you are relaxing in style.
Make sure you have real Rose water… and not something made from chemicals.
